Rivergate Central

This was a very disappointing stay. To start, our room on the 14th floor looked nothing like the photos of the room category I booked. Instead it looked plain and basic rather than modern and stylish - a complete bait and switch! Secondly and most troubling, the room was filthy. Hairs, dust, dirt from previous guests all over the floor when the room was presented to me as 'ready / clean'. I immediately told the host who said she would send her housekeeper to clean... After heading out for a few hours I returned home to the exact same dirt on the floor but a broom had been left against the wall. I messaged the host to query and was told the floor has been cleaned. Surfaces like the fridge top and light switches also had a thick layer of dust and were grimey. Shower glass looked like it had never been cleaned and I also found hairs on the shower walls - horrible! Water pressure in the shower was exceptionally low that it was difficult to get clean, the bed was uncomfortably hard and the room was noisy with poor soundproofing to the outside (although ear plugs kept most sounds out). Sheets also had some pink stains on - blood? I can put up with some of the above but the floor cleanliness was the worst I've ever seen and made us feel uncomfortable. I swept the floor myself and the photo below shows only half of what I swept up. I'm not sure how they review so well, definitely avoid!

The location is so convenient that you can walk around or grab a taxi to go anywhere to the downtown. For this price, it is fair. Also you are away from noise.

Unpleasant check-in procedure, we had to wait outside in the rain of the assistant. When we were taken to the room, there were other people's things and shoes. We were politely asked to wait, but it was extremely unpleasant. No cleaning, changing towels. The only advantage of these apartments is the view outside the window.

The central location is close to major attractions, and the room exceeded expectations. Elegant decor and all the necessary amenities. Reasonable price and quick support.

Though the apartment is in the middle of District 1, it's quiet and calm once you close the door. I spent hours reading on the couch with a fan on and music playing. The space was spotless but straightforward. The host responded within minutes when I asked for extra garbage bags. A noodle shop across the street opens till midnight—lifesaver! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and easy stay.
