Harrington's 102

Very good value! Had a room two flights up above the excellent restaurant DingDings. Comfortable bed, clean room. Quiet- except for a few doors slammed by neighbors. Just a few blocks to shops, nice walk to the port. Close to Skybus stop #4 from airport. Very international guests while i was there 2 nights. Young woman at restaurant counter very helpful if no one at registration desk. From US, very happy to be able to spend a few days in Tasmania at this hotel.

Ideal for a few nights for a solo traveller or couple. Comfortable and clean and great central location.

It's ontop of a Chinese shop, very noisy in the middle of the night by other people. No remotes for TV's, asked and they put one in which was a universal one, we had to set it up not the person we asked. Air con was noisy when on medium. Fridge was dirty, bed low and hard and no spare pillows. Toilet very noisy. No tea towels in kitchenett to do dishes with.

Very small rooms Bed was left like the attched and not properly and sheets were not changed during our stay Unable to contact management at night when needed Hard to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs We were their for 2 nights and had young party girls the first night and on the last night in the room next door partying all hours of the night and didn't stop after he asked him to quite down

Serves its basic function as a place to sleep and wash. Not the nicest area but walkable to most places which was great. But that’s pretty much it. On arrival there was no one at the tiny and very messy reception desk so I called the mobile number left there - had to wait 15mins for someone to arrive to help us. In the meantime I could easily see other people’s booking information open on the desk. When a staff member finally came she unfortunately didn’t speak any English so couldn’t answer the two basic questions that I had. I never saw anyone at the reception desk the entire three night stay. The room itself had clean sheets and bathroom. However the walls were all dirty including the vents etc. The TV remote didn’t work. The curtain over the window above the bed didn’t block hardly any light, as was the same issue with light coming in under the door from the hallway, enough to wake me up. I’m not usually fussy with that sort of stuff but given the start of the stay was so poor it left me far more on edge about all of it. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.

The owners were difficult to contact by phone, but we got there in the end. The floors in the hallways were in need of a sweep & mop & the room door was dirty. The doona cover had something on it that was not good & in need of a wash.

There was no staff at reception..they dont answer the phone and it was dirty
