Zhanghe Hotel (Hohhot Railway Station Hailiang Square)

For my trip to Hohhot, I chose the Zhanghe Hotel (Hohhot Railway Station Hailiang Plaza Branch), and my overall experience far exceeded my expectations – I definitely have to give it a great review! The cleanliness was truly exceptional. As soon as I entered the room, it felt incredibly clean. The floor and table were spotless, the bedding was neatly made, felt dry and comfortable to the touch, and had no strange odors. The bathroom was thoroughly cleaned; the toilet, sink, and shower area were all sparkling, and the toiletries were complete, making me feel very secure using them. It's clear that housekeeping put in a lot of effort, not just going through the motions. The soundproofing also deserves praise. I initially thought it might be noisy being near a bus stop and commercial area, but once the windows were closed, I barely heard any outside noise, and I slept very peacefully at night. People walking and talking in the hallway didn't really bother me either, which is great for light sleepers. The surrounding transportation is incredibly convenient. It's very close to Hohhot Railway Station, just a few subway stops away, so catching a train was stress-free. Hailiang Plaza is right downstairs, so there's no need to worry about dining, shopping, or browsing. There are also many bus stops nearby, and it only takes about ten minutes by taxi to get to attractions like Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making getting around very efficient. Furthermore, the front desk staff had a great attitude. Check-in was quick, they answered all my questions, and even proactively offered tips about the surrounding area. The room facilities were complete; the air conditioning, hot water, and WiFi all worked excellently, offering great value for money.

The location is convenient, about a ten-minute walk from Hailiang Square Metro Station, and there's a bus stop right outside. The room size is decent, and the soundproofing is good. Great value for money.

The hotel's location is good, not too far from the subway station, and the bus stop right outside is very convenient. Although the hotel has been around for a few years, all the facilities are still in good condition. The customer service design is reasonable, and the rooms are quite spacious. The bathroom fixtures and bedding are excellent, and the cleanliness is well-maintained. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and tastes great. The hotel also provides a self-service lunch with 3 meat and 2 vegetable options, rice, and noodles for 18 yuan per person. The food is delicious, which makes up for the lack of dining options nearby. The front desk staff and maintenance personnel are very dedicated and provide excellent service. However, the hotel's downside is the noise at night. North-facing rooms have walls covered with air conditioner outdoor units, and the low-frequency noise makes it difficult to sleep; south-facing (street-side) rooms are slightly better. The soundproofing of the hotel rooms is also not very good.

About a 1km walk from Hailiang Plaza, there are many commercial areas, so you can pretty much buy anything you need. It's about 4-5 bus stops or a 10-yuan taxi ride to Kuanzhai Alley. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic.

There's only a washing machine, no dryer!!!! My clothes never dried!!! It severely impacted my trip as I ran out of clean clothes!!! Facilities: I hope everyone sees this so they don't experience the same issue.

The room was really big and spacious, the facilities were new, and the location was excellent – right outside was a bus stop for tourist attractions. Overall, it was a good experience. I only booked for two nights, and I liked it so much that when I tried to book for a fourth day, the price for one night was almost as much as what I paid for two nights. I needed it for a Thursday, not even a weekend, so the price hike was quite steep and a bit hard to understand.

Overall, the hotel was pretty good! It's located by the roadside, but our room didn't face the street, so it was quiet and peaceful. The free parking was convenient. It's a bit of a walk to the subway station, about 10 minutes, and the same goes for nearby dining options. The room facilities were complete, and the bathroom had a well-designed wet/dry separation. However, the room was a bit small, making it cramped with two suitcases. We pre-ordered breakfast, which was decent and sufficient. But the service attitude of the cafeteria auntie was truly terrible. She was inexplicably unresponsive and ignored us. She just sat there eating by herself. When we asked for a bowl of noodles and a bowl of wontons, she seemed very impatient – big thumbs down! Everything else was pretty good, and the front desk service was friendly.

This hotel is located in the city center, very close to Hailing Plaza and Xinhua Plaza. There's a bus stop right outside, making it convenient for getting around. The self-service laundry room is also a plus.

The room was relatively quiet and had no strange odors. Thumbs up!
