GGuest UserOur vacation time was quite short, so my family and I chose Guangzhou as a layover city for our return flight. Since we only had a day and a half, and it was our first time in Guangzhou, we focused on the main attractions in the old city. After considering all factors, MEILIE Ling B&B met all our requirements, practically rivaling a five-star hotel, and indeed, our choice did not disappoint!
In terms of hardware: It even surpassed five-star standards. The unique red-brick arcade architecture, typical of Guangzhou, offered a quiet escape amidst the hustle and bustle. The interior environment, decor, and even the furniture style retained an authentic vintage Republic of China feel.
In terms of software: The housekeepers were incredibly responsive, almost fulfilling every request. Thoughtful, meticulous, and attentive – that's how I'd describe their service this time. The owner must be a stickler for details, consistently managing every aspect of the B&B from a guest's perspective, leaving almost nothing to fault. Whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, late-night snacks, or the farewell gifts for each guest upon check-out, what truly stood out was the B&B's own 30-minute travel photoshoot service. There was no limit on the number of people, all raw photos were provided, and 4 to 6 photos were expertly retouched. Every single detail hit home with me! Looking at it this way, the thousand-plus yuan room rate was incredibly good value for money! This 5-star review is well-deserved, and they are definitely worth experiencing!

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic stay at Guangzhou Xiangyue Yaxuan Hot Spring Homestay. The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch — everything was spotless and well-maintained. The location is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a family getaway, yet still convenient enough to reach local attractions.
Service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. We especially appreciated their helpful recommendations and quick responses to any requests.
The hot spring amenities were the highlight — beautifully designed, clean, and very relaxing. A perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. We didn’t try much of the food, but the kitchen facilities and nearby restaurants made everything convenient.
Highly recommend for families looking for a cozy, relaxing stay with great service!

PpandaI absolutely have to rave about how incredibly clean this B&B is! The moment I walked in, I was struck by how fresh it felt. There wasn't the slightest smell; instead, it had that lovely, sun-dried linen scent. The bedding was pristine white and spotless, clearly changed for each guest – you could see and feel how soft and clean it was. The bathroom was an even bigger surprise: the mirror was sparkling clean with no water marks, the sink and toilet were immaculate with no hidden spots, even the floor drain was perfectly clear. Every little detail, down to the doorknobs and light switches, was dust-free. The cleaning staff truly put in the effort, not missing any of those tricky spots where dirt often hides. I felt even more at ease staying here than in a hotel! The convenient location and the warm, helpful host are definitely a bonus, but based purely on these top-notch hygiene conditions, I'll definitely be staying here again next time. I've already recommended it to all my friends who value cleanliness!

AAmideeThis is a lovely place to go for a night or two to just relax. Also a pet friendly place, so that makes is ideal for me! The front desk are really helpful and you can add them onto your wechat to contact them directly anytime. They provide all essentials to be comfortable. I did ask if I could have a kettle for inside my tent, for coffee, which they were able to provide for me. Dinner options, you can choose chicken hot pot or the crawfish hot pot at their reception, which you can do yourself by your tent, or tell them you’d like to cook it in their dining area. Otherwise you can also barbecue your own things at your camp sight. It’s suggested to take your own food to bbq there, as their choices are limited. They did provide me with some sweet potato when I asked, and the chicken hot pot was really tasty and filling! The tent was clean, comfortable and has AC. We stayed in the smallest tents they provide, and it was perfect for what we needed. They have a swimming pool facility that is open from 4:30-6:30pm only. It would be nice if was available in the morning as well!! There’s not a lot to do in the surrounding area of the resort. You can do fishing, go for walks through the forest along the stream. I suggest to take some activity things to do like badminton or other board games etc. There are great play areas for kids, and fun slides are incorporated into the designs of some of the rooms. There are plenty different types of tent facilities and some have some really nice privacy looking onto the stream and have some outdoor hot spring tubs (plunge pool). The small tent porches don’t have privacy, but they are adequate for a short stay in nature. Getting there is easy by didi or hired car, getting back you just need to make your search on the app more wide because the location is a bit isolated from busy areas, but otherwise that’s also not a problem.

GGuest UserVery easy to find the property. Just message the property manager/owner to get the new pass code of the unit for direct check in. The unit is spacious, clean, and smells good. It is located in the 33rd floor with 2 windows overlooking the river and Haishu Square. It has 2 King size and 1 Queen size bed in separate rooms, one of it is separated from the living room by a curtain. The mattresses have different levels of comfort, one is very hard and firm, the one in the living room has medium comfort and the inner room has the softest mattress. There is a projector screen in the living area where you can watch movies. The unit has mirrors where you can fix yourselves, lots of shelves, and cabinets. There is 1 toilet and bath with shampoo, conditioner, bath liquid soap, and disposable towels, provided with enough toilet paper. The bathroom has hot water, heater, and a blow dryer. There is no bidet in case you are looking for one. The kitchen has dishwashing liquid and sponge and enough plates, bowls, spoons, chopsticks, and teacups for our family, some pans, and a small knife. They provide you with slippers, umbrella, and enough trash bags. We have used the range for heating our take out food. You would have to buy condiments and cooking oil if you plan to do a lot of cooking and the refrigerator for storing water, fruits, and to go foods. There is a washing machine but we did not get to use it. It feels very safe. It is a gated community, you need to have an access card (provided) to get inside the building. The location is great, 3 minute walk to Tianzi port. And 8 minute walk to Beijing Lu or Haizhu Square station. Very near Beijing Pedestrian street, so many convenience stores and noodle houses in the neighborhood. This place is safe, clean, quiet, beautiful and very homey, perfect for families. And the property manager/owner is very responsive to our queries or needs. We will stay here again when in Guangzhou.

GGuest UserOur two families, comprising four adults and five children, drove for just over an hour from Dongguan city center to reach the destination. From the moment we began our ascent into the mountains, we were captivated. The mountain road was long, winding, and had some steep sections, giving us the impression of venturing deep into the mountains. It truly hugged the mountainside with very little flat ground, no rest stops, and no residential areas. However, the entrance itself was quite spacious. The timing of our visit was perfect; it wasn't overly crowded. Parking was convenient, and check-in was swift. Private vehicles are not allowed to roam freely within the scenic area, but the WeChat concierge was very responsive, and sightseeing buggies were available for longer distances.
We opted for the tent accommodations. The tent rooms were compact and charming, which the children absolutely loved. It was wonderful for both families to sit together, enjoy tea, chat, and soak in the fresh air of the 'natural oxygen bar'. As expected, there were some mosquitoes, but luckily, we came prepared with mosquito repellent spray and an electric mosquito swatter. Each room also had electric mosquito coils provided, but bringing our own offered extra peace of mind!
In the afternoon, just before dinner, the concierge suddenly informed us that there was a hot water malfunction. After some discussion, they promptly moved us to three adjoining rooms, which effectively meant an upgrade to units with private pools. However, only two of the girls ended up using the pools for a short while, as we chose to spend most of our time exploring the scenic area. The glass skywalk and rafting were thrilling and enjoyable. Overall, it was a very pleasant short trip.
The next day, we checked out around 11 AM and had a meal at a local farm-style restaurant down the hill before heading back to Dongguan. The food was authentic Cantonese and absolutely delicious.
