CCappieThis is our first visit to Ranau. Booked the room based on the high reviews and am really happy with the decision. The location was far end but the driving was nice because you could see a lot of greenery along the way. No nearby restaurants but the hotel does have a restaurant where you can dine in or have room service. Breakfast was included. Should not miss taking breakfast as you can really enjoy nature early in the morning. However, a ticket to the park was not included. You can purchase it at the gate at the entrance and it was easy. It is nice to have a little hike in the morning after breakfast. If you are lucky, you get to see the Raflesia flower. We are not lucky 😌 maybe next time. Overall the experience was fantastic. On top of it, the reception staff and all other staff were all friendly upon checking in, checking out, and throughout our stay. The room was spacious for our family of four. Cleanliness is remarkable. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious, and the location was absolutely fantastic, close to all the attractions. Plus, it was an absolutely stunning sea-view room overlooking the bay. Being on the 24th floor, we could even see the Pink Mosque, the Floating Mosque, and Mount Kinabalu, which was really nice. The online service was also excellent; the service attendant, Aqilah, was very patient in helping us with various issues and even provided free luggage storage. We were very satisfied with the service!

AAnonymous UserRight by the roadside, so it's super easy to find, and there's plenty of parking. The only thing is, when checking in at night, there's no staff to guide you, and this hotel has a very natural, almost 'back to nature' vibe. It gets a bit dark when driving into the deeper areas at night, which might feel a little unsafe for a woman traveling alone. When I first walked in, there was a slightly damp smell, and the sheets and mattress had a few small spots, but overall it was warm and comfortable. All the other facilities were great. The views in the morning were amazing, and the air was really fresh. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and they even had made-to-order dishes.

LLuffy11K Avenue is good for budget‑friendly stays and short visits when location and convenience matter most. It gives basic comforts and easy access but doesn’t always deliver a luxury experience so I’d rate it decent but not outstanding compared to other stays in KK.

Chose the Games themed 2 bedroom place which had Mario wallpapers, pokemon and gameboy themed stuff. Very cool homestay.
This condo has a lot of other stuff like an indoor mini playroom, outdoor mini play area and the pool.
Pool has days where it's closed for whole day and half days, management will inform after check in.
Check in and out were very easy at the counter.
Every room, living area, dining area had air-conditioning and working hot water system. WiFi was fast via unifi.
This unit, 11-09 had views from the balcony. Managed to watch the beautiful sunrise.
There's a 99 speedmart and a 24/7 Orange mart downstairs as well as a kopitiam?

We got unit with sea view from the balcony. There's no free parking lot provided but there's an open space beside the Bay Suite building that you can park your vehicle for free but at your own risk. Self check-in, by mean you don't have to collect any key/pass/card at the reception counter. The pool is clean but a bit smaller than other stays. There's a slide beside the pool. Those elevators are fast! For the unit (18-20) itself, it was spacious! Honestly it can occupied 3-4 adults. There's a queen bed inside the room and a sofa bed at the living room. They provide towels, steam iron, hairdryer, extension, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, electric kettle, electric pot, fridge, tiny cups, tiny bowls, tiny plates and 2 small drinking water bottle. There's no scissors and knife provided in this unit. I'm satisfied with the unit and building but for the customer service it's a bit slow. I need to ask for the bank account (to make deposit) several times, at 14:55 only I got the bank account details. Check-in at 15:00. As for the deposit, I haven't received anything (check-out 31/1/2026). I contacted via WhatsApp at 8AM today, asking about the deposit status but there's no respond at all until now while writing this review (4/2/2026@8:06PM).

GGuest UserGreat location near Gaya Street, and very responsive host! Beds were very comfortable and air-con was working very well. We all had very comfortable sleeps. Room also had a nice, albeit slightly obscured view of the ocean.
Only two rather major issues:
(1) Throughout the stay, our Wi-Fi was so slow that it was essentially unusable, and Celcom had poor connection, but Umobile was fine. We told the host, who told us that there was nothing they could do about it.
(2) The lift / elevator system in The Shore is truly horrible. Account for 5 to 10 minutes just to get up or down the lift. If you're trying to take the lift up during peak hours, be prepared to wait up to 15 min before you can even get into the lift

The room was clean, I especially appreciated the quiet environment, which made it easy to relax after a long day.

AAnonymous UserLike: The room is spacious and has a hot water dispenser, which is great. The kitchen can also be used for cooking. Netflix is provided, making it convenient for families to stay. Contacted the B&B and got a quick reply.
Areas for improvement: There is a dent in the mattress, the toilet seat, the liquid dispenser is loose, the air conditioner, and the hardware could be more ideal.
In summary: great value for money.
