We invite you to experience our nostalgic lakeside standing log cottage; nestled in an area of whispering pines and birch trees. Our cottage is extremely clean and furnished with all the household amenities that will make your visit comfortable. It has a beautiful southern exposure and is a few feet from the lake. It has a its own small sandy beach and private pier.Comfortable 3 bedroom feature, one queen in one 1 full in another and a bunk bed with full bed on the bottom and single on the top. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, cookware, coffee maker, silverware, full refrigerator, gas stove with oven and microwave. The Pinewood has direct TV premium package with HD TV and DVD player. It is also has a window air conditioner. For your outdoor enjoyment; the cottage has a large screened porch with a kitchen table to enjoy dining with the lakeview. Outside we provide a Weber grill, picnic table and fire pit. The Pinewood will provide a wonderful family vacation get away without giving up the comforts of home. Across the bay the scenery is all nature completely pristine. The Pinewood was our original cottage before we moved up to this beautiful area. My flower beds are still abundant. The Pinewood is located on Dam Lake (797) acres and is one of a five lake chain known as the Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes. 70% of the land is owned by the state of Wisconsin. You will be hard presses to find more beautiful scenery anywhere. Wildlife abounds in this quiet bay, bald eagles, otters, beaver, ducks, osprey are sighted often. The Sugar Camp Chain is also know for its fishery. Trophy Muskie (class A lake) Walleye, Bass, Northern, Crappies and numerous panfish are in abundant supply.The Pinewood is also adjacent to the American Legion State Forest for those who enjoy exploring the thousands of acres of forest ..or perhaps grouse or deer hunting or a remote fishing trip. Welcome to the Green Canoe!Our lakefront home is tucked right at the shore with stunning southern exposure, sandy water frontage and spectacular views all around. We designed the space with the quintessential Northwoods feel in mind while keeping it a modern and comfortable family-friendly experience.It's the perfect peaceful Northwoods setting in a modern home while still being centrally located.You are only:● 10-15 min to St. Germain & Eagle River● 25-30 min to Rhinelander & MinocquaTHE LAKE:The home is situated on the shores of Dam Lake, which is one of the largest and deepest lakes in the area, spanning over 730 acres.You will have private access to the lake through our brand-new 32ft. dock.The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including musky (Class A musky lake), all panfish, pike and bass, making it a popular fishing destination. The lake also has a public boat launch, just 2.8 miles down the road from us.The Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes includes five interconnected lakes that offer endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. With over 2,300 acres of water, you can spend your days kayaking or canoeing along the tranquil waters, or take a pontoon boat ride and explore the scenic shoreline. The Sugar Camp chain is surrounded by the American Legion State Forest, with minimal shoreline development, which makes our location truly peaceful.Dam Lake is also at the convergence of several of the snowmobile trails that cross the area around Eagle River – the “Snowmobile Capital of the World.”THE HOME:The home itself is a modern and comfortable retreat that is perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends. Walk into the open-concept main level with cathedral ceilings and a breathtaking, south-facing lakeside wall of windows that blanket everything with natural light. There are 180 degrees of lake views to enjoy while lounging on the deep sectional, sharing a meal at the dining table, or brewing your morning cup in our fully-equipped kitchen. A bedroom with a queen bed (new memory foam mattresses on every bed), and a full bathroom with shower/bathtub are also part of the main level.Come upstairs to our favorite room in the house: The loft! We have made this space with kids in mind, but honestly, we love it just as much! There are two sets of twin trundle beds (up to 4 single beds), and a half bath up in the loft level.Head downstairs to the lower level cozy den, where you or the kids can hang out and watch movies, play foosball or an old-school game on the vintage Nintendo 64 (the nostalgia sold us on this one!). A cozy third bedroom (queen bed& 14" memory foam mattress), and a third bathroom with walk-in shower are also here in the lower level. The laundry room is downstairs for your use, as well (along with free-and-clear detergent).Outside: right through the dining room doors await the peaceful and awe-inspiring Northwoods and stunning views of Dam Lake. Drink your morning coffee by the dock and watch the sunrise (my favorite!) or gather by the campfire at night and watch the millions of stars above you. Take the kayaks or canoe out on the lake or catch fish right from the dock!Rent a boat from one of the local powersports companies or bring your boat for the week.Whether it's a summer Northwoods family vacation, a fall getaway to hike and see the colors, or a winter trip for skiing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing with friends, there is so much to enjoy year round, all while being just a short drive to all that Eagle River, Saint Germain, Rhinelander and Minocqua have to offer.We hope you enjoy your time here at our lake house and that you make many wonderful memories with your loved ones. The Eagles Nest is a 2 bedroom log sided cabin on the scenic shores of Dam Lake's Pike Bay. The lake is 797 acres and the largest of the 5 lake Sugar Camp chain. It is right on the lake. It has a large screened in porch for enjoying your evenings without the bugs. You have your own pier with a bench and a campfire pit. It is a great location for enjoying all that northern Wisconsin has to offer.Our cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, families & furry friends.The cabin has a full kitchen. There is a television with a dvd player. The bathroom has a shower & plenty of hot water! There is a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Outside there is a picnic table and charcoal grill.You will have access to your own pier and the 5 lake Sugar Camp chain of lakes. There is also a bar/restaurant that is located on the chain of lakes.There is an aluminum row boat that comes with the cabin. We have motor, canoe & kayak rentals available.The cabin is located next to other cabins that may not be rental properties. We ask you to please respect the neighboring cabins and do not go onto their property.
