The dining room table seats 14 comfortably or eat outside on the deck with a table which seats 12. The well equipped kitchen has plenty of counter space for multiple cooks and a counter with four stools for friends and family to sit and chat or snack.Downstair there are two bedrooms (one queen bed and one twin bed), a full bathroom and a half-bath. Upstairs there are four bedrooms (two queen beds, one king bed, and one twin bed) and a full bathroom.The yard is enormous, with swinging chairs hanging from trees, a fire pit, and a path through the woods to a secluded pond, a perfect place to read or sit with friends.The Catskills are an outdoor paradise. 1 mile down the road is our family farm, with sheep, a goat, donkeys, horses, and chicken. Let us know if you want to visit. 1 1/2 miles away is a field filled with blueberry bushes and if you visit in July, you are free to pick to your heart's content the wild, delicious blueberries. Just let us know and we will give you directions.The country roads in the area are perfect for bike riding (but very hilly), the hilly area makes for great sledding spots in the winter, and world class hiking in the Shawangunk Mountains is just 1/2 hour away. There is an outdoor community pool in the town park 1 mile from the house, and many local streams are stocked in the spring with trout for fishing. (NYS fishing licenses are required, can be done online). There are mountain lakes nearby, such as Morningside Lake in Fallsburg (which rents paddle boats and row boats and also has a new community pool), or Starlight Marina in Monticello (which rents platoon boats). Public golf courses are plentiful. If you tire of nature, Legoland, the Katrite Water Park (NY's largest indoor water park), and the Resorts World Casino are all just1/2 hour away, while Woodbury Commons, with hundreds of outlet stores, is 45 minutes away. Go river rafting, canooing, tubing, or kayaking on the Deleware river with Lander's River Trips. The town of Moundaindale, 3 miles down the road, is an increasingly trendy destination with live music on weekends, an outdoor bar and restaurant by the creek, the best pizza in upstate NY (per our teenagers), a wine/cheese and produce shop, a thrift shop and a herbal shop, a yoga studio, art studios, and a monthly outdoor market. Stony Kill Ranch is a newly renovated modern rustic ranch located on the border of 22,000 acres of untouched wilderness. We are walking distance from Stony Kill Falls. Highlights include: Hot tub, music studio shed, firepit, fireplace, foosball, and the list goes on.Important note: due to the homes secluded natural location. We are limited to well water that comes from 500’ below the bedrock and is consistently tested for purity, bubbles are natural. We have a multiple stage filtration system and have recently upgraded it to improve quality and minimize any inconveniences! Only about 2 hours from NYC, Stony Kills Ranch is a bright 4-bedroom house with a wraparound deck sitting on 30 acres of gorgeous green property. Our house is perfect for any weekend getaway or vacation with family and friends. Year-round, guests can soak in the outdoor hot tub, stargaze from the porch and roast marshmallows around our fire-pit. You can even take a short walk directly to the famous Stony Kill Falls, a spectacular waterfall that flows off of a high ledge and down into shallow green pools. Spend the summer weekends, camping, hiking, grilling outside and playing horseshoe in our horseshoe pits. During winter, enjoy nearby winter hiking, snowshoeing, ice climbing or cross-country skiing. We’re also a quick 20 min to the Shawangunk Mountains (or, the “Gunks”), famous among rock climbers—also home to waterfalls like Verkeerderkill, Awosting, Buttermilk and VerNooykill. The property includes a hot tub for you to relax in, a grill on the deck, a music studio to jam out in (bring your own guitar, we got the rest), or warm up next to our firepit/fireplace. Additionally, we have an assortment of activities from horseshoes, foosball to board games. Make the most of our Jam Shed — perfect for rehearsing, recording, or just jamming out! We have a full drum set and other equipment already set up.
