Garden Inn Homestead/Everglades/Gateway to Keys

This hotel is ideally located for visiting national parks and Key West, with excellent Cuban, Mexican, and Spanish restaurants nearby, and a supermarket within a 10-minute drive. The hotel facilities are basic yet spacious, with a refrigerator and microwave, which is sufficient. Breakfast is included, and the ability to make your own pancakes is a big plus.

Unless you're on a tight budget, try to avoid this place... The breakfast is terrible; you'd be better off buying food from the 7-Eleven next door. The room facilities are about the same as a guesthouse in China from the early 2000s, and the soundproofing is negligible. A motel costing 1400 yuan a night is truly a place where everyone stays completely silent 😐

The hotel's location was truly amazing if you want to visit the Florida Keys or the Everglades. Furthermore, the hygiene was poor, the staff were unfriendly at all, and people used to smoke here. That smell often lingers, even though it has been renovated. Would I recommend the hotel knowing what I have now? No, certainly not. If you want to stay cheaply, you might consider it, and it is important to know that there are bugs crawling on the furniture.

After the first night in the Double room, we stayed in the Superior room. To our surprise, there was little to no difference between the two rooms. Both were neat, well maintained, and in excellent condition. The Superior room may have had a bit more space, but otherwise we noticed little difference. However, the quality of the motel remains top notch, with an excellent price-quality ratio. The breakfast was again delicious, especially the waffles and the choice of drinks and eggs. Outside it was also neatly maintained and the motel gave an overall neat impression. We would definitely come back!
