MIJ (KAI TAK) HOTEL

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Kai Tak area. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. Downstairs, there are plenty of food stalls and local eateries, and it's super close to To Kwa Wan MTR station, making it very convenient for getting around. The staff were also excellent; they even helped me retrieve something I'd left behind. All in all, I highly recommend it! 👍

The showerhead was a bit leaky. For around 200, it offers great value for money, and the hygiene was good. The window could be opened slightly. It's about a 700-800 meter walk to the subway station. Downstairs, there's a supermarket and many places to buy food and other things. The room was also quite spacious, and no deposit was required.

The facilities in the room were very run-down. Some broken parts were patched with Scotch tape, and the toilet seat was also broken. Looking out from the room, all you could see were dilapidated residential buildings uncomfortably close. For this kind of quality, I'd expect it to be a 100-200 yuan standard at most. They charged 2200 yuan for one night – that's just a rip-off. I've seen overpriced places before, but never anything this outrageous.

Came alone for Jacky Cheung's concert~ After a long search for hotels, I still chose this one. Trust me, pick a sea view! It's very close to the Hong Kong Coliseum!! The hotel is about 600 meters from the MTR station, and the night view is beautiful 🤩. It felt very safe walking back after the concert around 11 PM. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, and the front desk service was excellent 🫶🏻

The room is definitely on the smaller side compared to inland hotels, but it's well-equipped and perfectly sufficient for a solo traveler. Plus, the hot water in my room was excellent – a real lifesaver after a long day of exploring. Although the bathroom was a bit small, it was still pretty user-friendly for a woman. The hotel facilities are also relatively new, and it's super close to Kai Tak Sports Park, which would be incredibly convenient if you're attending a concert. Overall, I'm very happy with my stay!
