Novotel Century Hong Kong

The hotel is a bit old, so the room decor and facilities might be outdated. However, it's clean and the location is great. Overall, it offers good value for money, especially for Hong Kong.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by Wan Chai, making transportation and dining incredibly convenient. Michelle at the front desk provided fantastic service, giving me a detailed explanation of the room and assigning a satisfactory one. She deserves a special shout-out! 👍 The only issue with the hotel is the excessively long queue for check-in, which was a huge time-waster. They only had one counter open, and the young man working there was endlessly haggling with a foreigner about a credit card. I waited for twenty minutes, and he was still caught up in that same issue.

I booked a 'front-row' sea view room. I was prepared for Hong Kong hotels to be small and a bit run-down, but this one actually exceeded my expectations and was quite good! The front desk staff were friendly. It definitely lives up to its reputation as a classic French hotel brand.

This hotel is super convenient for shopping in Causeway Bay, just a short walk away. The MTR station and tram stop are also close by, and there's a 7-Eleven right out the back door, which is incredibly handy. When I checked in, they upgraded me to a suite, which was incredibly spacious and bright. Both the living room and bedroom had large windows, and the decor was clean and minimalist. The room was well-equipped with various convenient amenities, including a capsule coffee machine and a fridge stocked with complimentary drinks. The bed was very comfortable too. The hotel also has a gym and a pool, and the dining options seem great – I'll definitely have to try them next time!

This was a great stay, highly recommended! Booking through Ctrip even got us a free room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise. We requested breakfast for three in advance, and it was bountiful with a wide variety of choices. There were many international guests staying at the hotel, and the overall ambiance was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable; even the pristine white bathmat made you almost hesitant to step on it, showing how well-maintained the hygiene was. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Wan Chai Ferry Pier, where we also got to experience the Star Ferry. This hotel made our trip to Hong Kong even more enjoyable, and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance.

My business trip stay was very good overall. The hotel is close to the convention center, making it super convenient for getting around and conducting business. Although the renovation was in 2017, which is a few years ago, the room was kept clean and tidy, making for a perfectly comfortable stay. The bottled water in a paper box packaging in the room was a unique and stylish touch, showing great attention to detail. The service was warm and attentive, and the staff were very friendly, making arrivals and departures especially pleasant. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, and the taste was average, but the overall value for money is decent, making it a suitable choice for a business trip.

I was so happy to be chosen as a special guest by the hotel. My room was automatically upgraded, and I even got complimentary breakfast. As someone who occasionally does staycations locally, the overall experience was excellent. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic (one staff member was called Tiffany, I hope I remembered correctly), and they even proactively offered late check-out without us even asking for it. Honestly, the service quality in Hong Kong is already excellent. I just wish there were fewer guests who constantly complain with an unwarranted sense of superiority.

The Wi-Fi signal was excellent, perfect for streaming videos or video conferencing without any lag. The duty manager, a lovely lady, was incredibly thoughtful; she proactively upgraded my room and even gave me a welcome gift. She was also super quick to respond whenever I had an issue. This hotel offers such great value for money, it definitely deserves a five-star rating!
