Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin

The lobby and public areas are grand, and the room was decent. However, from our 27th-floor room, we could see the messy rooftop of the building next door. For a hotel that's been open for over ten years, the room was well-maintained. There's a Wellcome supermarket downstairs and a McDonald's behind the hotel. The shuttle bus service was infrequent, but luckily it's less than a 5-minute walk to Shek Mun MTR station. Plus, there are many dining options near Shek Mun, which was convenient!

It's rare to find such a spacious room in Hong Kong. It was clean and tidy, with excellent service. The gym and pool were great, and the surrounding area was also nice with a good view. The free shuttle bus made it convenient to get to key areas, and it was quite close to the MTR station and easy to find.

Negative review, avoid at all costs! The front desk discriminates against mainland Chinese guests. They deceptively claimed that the room type I booked was full and switched me to an accessible room. They only mentioned a few extra handrails, but the room layout was drastically different and much smaller. I booked your hotel so many days in advance, yet you didn't reserve a room for mainland guests? I checked in at 3-4 PM on the same day, and they still told me my original room type wasn't available. Are they intentionally applying double standards because they think mainland guests are easy to deal with? I specifically call out the male staff member working at the first check-in counter on the right on the afternoon of August 23rd for discriminating against mainland Chinese guests. Does a Marriott-affiliated hotel really hire such people? Secondly, after your hotel finally moved me back to a normal room, the curtain rod fell and injured a guest. They only offered two breakfast vouchers as compensation, without even a sincere apology. A Marriott hotel in Sha Tin, which costs a thousand a day, can't even maintain its basic facilities properly, yet they're here discriminating against mainland guests. Where do they get their sense of superiority? Avoid this place!

Compared to other hotels, the room was quite spacious and clean, but the bed had a noticeable dip in the middle – probably just bad luck. Breakfast was pretty basic, and there was no bottled water in the room; you had to go to the corridor to get water. Other than that, it was fine.

As soon as the front desk staff heard I spoke Mandarin, they immediately switched to Mandarin, which was very welcoming. The room was very large and spacious, and spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff were incredibly polite. I'm very satisfied and will definitely be back.

This hotel is close to my workplace, so I stay here frequently. The rooms are quite spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The breakfast is also quite rich, and it's convenient for commuting, shopping, and dining.

Another stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin, and it was still a great experience. This time, I booked a City View Twin Room. The hotel's decor is simple and modern, and among Hong Kong hotels, the room size is quite generous. The twin beds are spacious, so it doesn't feel cramped for two people, and the city view is pleasant. The hotel boasts excellent transportation links. It's within walking distance to Shek Mun Station on the MTR Tuen Ma Line, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel, making travel very convenient. The surrounding area has a complete range of amenities, with a Wellcome supermarket downstairs and several convenience stores, Hong Kong-style tea restaurants, and McDonald's nearby, making it easy to find food and groceries. The front desk staff were warm, polite, and efficient in their responses. The hotel facilities are well-equipped, and the overall standard is consistently good. Having chosen this hotel multiple times, I will definitely prioritize it for future visits to Hong Kong!

Excellent location with convenient transportation and complete surrounding amenities. Comfortable room, clean and tidy, with soft bedding and good soundproofing. Attentive service; staff are warm, thoughtful, and responsive. Rich breakfast with a good mix of Chinese and Western options, and pleasant flavors. High value for money; the overall experience exceeded expectations, making it an ideal choice for business and leisure travel.
