Considering how compact Hong Kong is, and in a prime location like Tsim Sha Tsui, getting such a spacious room is truly a great find! It's super convenient for getting around, with public transport options close by. Plus, there are tons of small shops and eateries in the area, offering excellent value for money. If you book in advance for a trip to Hong Kong, you can get even better rates. Highly recommended!

The hotel room is huge, AC is cold, no noises at night. The downside is that it’s a little far from TST and MTR (around 7-10 mins walk) but you can use shortcut through the park to TST. The staffs are very nice, they do room cleaning and give you new towels every day (we travel in 3 people and end up having 8 towels on check out day). The concierge is very helpful, we forget the luggage scale and we can borrow from them as well.
Though the hotel is a bit too old and dated, you can see some tiny mold at the corner of bathroom, the carpet has lots of dust which isn’t good for people with allergies, and the elevators are too slow even though they have 2 sides of them but you’d wait forever during peak time.
Overall 8/10 for me.

Good price-per qualty option for staying in Kowloon, as you turn out to be close to the bustling heart of eating, shopping and leisure of the peninsula, - with nice park on one side, giant Harbour city center on the other and pier nearby.
Hotel is not very new but well-maintained, you might need luck only in respect of the room view, as it is sometimes depressive to be overlooked by the high wall of the opposite building just a couple of dozen metres away, knowing that the harbour and space and air are just around the corner

Facilities: A rare smart hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, with electric curtains, smart toilets, a large TV, and USB ports by the bed, all very convenient. The room size is decent for Hong Kong.
Cleanliness: The room is very clean, and the linens are fine.
Environment: Downstairs, there are all kinds of restaurants and shops. It's very convenient for shopping, dining, and going to Victoria Harbour or Mong Kok.
Service: The front desk staff were polite and friendly, kindly informing me that drinking water is not provided in the room and needs to be brought by guests.
Overall, a good stay. The hardware facilities are on par with a domestic Ji Hotel (excluding room size and laundry facilities). Recommended.

I initially thought that after so many years of renovation, the carpets might have an odor. However, after a long comparison, I decided that location was paramount. Other reviewers had mentioned no issues with smell, so I chose Kowloon Shangri-La. I ended up being incredibly satisfied! The decor is grand and luxurious. The staff are enthusiastic and remember guest preferences. (I was among the first employees at Shangri-La Qingdao in '97. I remember during training, we were taught to always remember every guest's preferences. It's great to see that Shangri-La's global standards haven't changed over the years.) They made sure guests felt completely comfortable. The Horizon Club's breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner offer incredible value for money, and the service is excellent. My husband and kids both said this was an excellent hotel choice. It's also convenient for shopping, and they even gave my child a gift! 💝

The service here is excellent! The front desk asked me what kind of room I preferred during check-in. All the hotel staff were very polite. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a Don Quijote store, which is great for shopping, and there's also a Little Bear Biscuit specialty shop nearby. It's also a short walk to the subway station, making it very easy to get around. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit!

The hotel is right at the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station exit, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's also a short walk to Victoria Harbour. The room was spacious, which is a big plus in a city like Hong Kong where space is a premium, and it perfectly met our travel needs.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are decent, a compact space that has everything you need. It was basically enough for two adults and one child.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was acceptable, with regular cleaning every day.
Environment: The hotel's location is a big plus. Turn right out of the hotel and you're in Tsim Sha Tsui. Walk straight past one intersection from the hotel and you're at Temple Street, where there are many street food stalls at night. There are also many 7-Elevens and snack shops near the hotel, and the high-speed rail station is within walking distance.

I was on a short business trip. For this area, the price-quality ratio is acceptable. It is very convenient to get to and from the airport. I have attached a photo of the airport stop. I ordered a double room, but only one person can stay in it. There is hot and cold drinking water and a shared refrigerator. The disposable towels were a surprise, but they can be adapted to. The room is cleaned very well every day at a convenient time. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of budget-friendly restaurants and parks nearby for morning practices and workouts.

Getting to Hong Kong
Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), located on Chek Lap Kok Island, is the city’s main gateway. From the airport, you can easily reach the city center via the Airport Express train or airport buses, which is about 35 kilometers from the city center. The Airport Express train is the fastest way to reach the city center, taking about 24 minutes to reach Hong Kong Station. Tickets cost around HK$115 ($15) one-way, and the train offers free Wi-Fi and charging stations.

LLexibaobaoFor those doing a Hong Kong and Macau trip, I recommend going to Macau first, then Hong Kong's K11, because it has a drum washing machine, a drum washing machine, a drum washing machine! (Yes, it's that important, I said it three times). You can wash all your dirty clothes from Macau in K11's washing machine, and drying is no problem either – it's a great amenity. I'm introverted and don't like interacting much with staff, but they were very discreet and kind. Oh, and the night view is beautiful too.

📍Room 503, 5/F, Haiphong Mansion, 53-55 Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (Take airport bus A21 to stop 14, Cameron Road, takes about 54 minutes).
Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right downstairs, and the A21 airport bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away.
I chose this hotel specifically to attend a concert at Kai Tak!
It's about a 10-minute walk to Tsim East MTR station (from Tsim East, you can take the Tuen Ma Line directly to Kai Tak Sports Park, which is only 6 stops and very convenient, costing 6.8 HKD one way).
However, the room is indeed very small. It's perfectly fine for one person, but for two adults, it might be a bit cramped, especially with luggage! So, I highly recommend it for solo travelers!
Within about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach New Harbour City, K11, Avenue of Stars, and China Ferry Terminal (where you can pick up City Line tickets). For food, I recommend:
1. Genki Sushi on the 2nd floor of Silvercord, a 5-minute walk away (great value for money, the sashimi is really fresh, and the tuna trio is a must-try – the melt-in-your-mouth tuna is absolutely divine).
2. For dim sum breakfast, Kowloon Cafe is just a 3-minute walk downstairs. Their breakfast set includes a Hong Kong-style milk tea for just 3 HKD, and it tastes very authentic.

AAnonymous UserIt was a bit hard to find at first. It's on the 13th floor of a building and the access is close to a main road but surrounded by stores so it is easy to miss.
The place itself was really nice. A water dispenser would be awesome as they won't give you cold water (just warm) but is the only complaint.
The location is really nice if you want to explore Kowloon, but also a metro station is just meters away so you won't lose time if you want to see other places in the city.
Staff didn't really speak English (or didn't want to when they found out I speak Chinese) so keep your translator handy!

The location is truly central. The bathrooms here are exceptionally spacious. Fantastic value for money! Just a heads-up, they no longer provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, so remember to bring your own.

Be aware that they provide daily disposable paper bath towels instead of cloth towels. No hand or face towels provided. I had to ask for hand soap to be provided to us. Hand sink shares the same area with beds. The safe battery was low by the fourth day. Bed linen was great and room keeping services were outstanding. We needed cleanup from an accident and they took care of it promptly for us.

RRyant RhmdThe picture shown was not the same, but check in was smooth and we liked the size of the room than the one we booked at chungking mansion previously. Good to have a rest after long day exploring Hongkong. We stayed for three days, towel provided just hot water didn't always work in the morning.
