Let me start with the positive aspects of my stay: The location was fantastic—everything was conveniently within walking distance. It took just a 5-minute stroll to reach the beautiful Waikiki Beach, and there was a wide selection of restaurants and an international marketplace nearby. The view from the hotel was stunning, and Manager Pat truly stood out for his exceptional service. When we arrived a bit early for check-in, he kindly accommodated us by storing our luggage. I booked a family room, which was perfect for our needs, featuring two single beds and one queen bed in a private setting, as well as a kitchen. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable, and I appreciated that room cleaning was done every other day. During our 7-day stay, any requests for additional towels and supplies were efficiently fulfilled. On the other hand, I did notice a few areas for improvement. The lively atmosphere of the surrounding area, while enjoyable, resulted in a fair amount of noise from traffic and tourists. I believe installing soundproof windows in the rooms could greatly enhance guests' comfort. Additionally, the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, as the existing vent was sealed. When I inquired about this, Manager Pat explained that it had been closed to prevent cross-contamination due to COVID-19 precautions. With four occupants using a bathroom without proper ventilation, it became quite uncomfortable at times. I recommend addressing this issue to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests. Overall, with a few adjustments, this hotel has the potential to be an even more delightful place to stay

This hotel was horrible the rooms curtains were stained with a bloody looking substance, the air barely worked, all common areas were clean nor tidy. The floors carpet was stained and bathrooms and kitchen area were not as pictured. This didn't make me feel like I was in paradise. I requested a refund 2 mins after checking in and was accommodated. I had to get another place to stay because it was not bearable for me especially after a $400 price tag. I complained to the booking rep still waiting on a resolution. Do yourself a favor and run.

Patrick and his staff exceeded our expectations and we all felt the Aloha spirit. This hotel was clean, it was roomy, it had a great view, and most importantly, it was minutes away from Waikiki beach, international market and the happy Waikiki scene. Parking was also a big plus and we felt as if we were just at home. The hotel also lent us their beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys for the kids. Thank you Patrick for all your accommodation, kindness and your island love. We will be definitely coming back here. I highly recommend this place very much! 🤙🏽 🤙🏽 🌺

This property was awful. This was the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed at. This is extremely overpriced. The staff have been rude to deal with online, the room we stayed in was dirty, we were placed in a room where construction was being done right outside our window from 6am every morning, the shower drain is clogged, the sheets we first slept in were obviously not clean because it had small bits of sand and dirt in the bed on our first night, we did not see one staff member the whole stay nor any housekeeping, the curtains don’t block out the light so it never gets dark at night time, the wifi is very slow, the windows don’t shut so you can’t escape the noise on the street, the walls have dirty marks on them and the facilities are very old and inefficient. We even considered booking and paying for another extra hotel room just to get some proper rest.

It is the second time my husband and I go back to the Holiday Surf hotel! I went in 2021 and now again from August 2 to August 22, 2023. There is air conditioning in the room accessible elevators, very good security with the locking of the outside doors as of 9 PM and most importantly, excellent service.! Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly, and Patrick the owner is extremely helpful. I will be going back again the next time I go to Hawaii! Excellent pricing for the lication. 10 minute walk to Waikiki beach, main strip and allll the restaurants!

Although the kitchen appliances were older, everything was quite clean and in proper working order, and we made good use of the oven and stove. We live in a large city and weren't bothered much by the kids revving engines on Ala Wai Blvd, but this might be an issue for some. Sound-proof windows could help. We got along fine with the manager, who provided us with a regular supply of clean, fresh towels and lent us beach gear, which we appreciated.

We were very excited about our trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong place to stay. The island is beautiful but every time we came back to this hotel we got angry. The rooms weren’t clean, the air- conditioning was out of order and was fixing 3 days. We paid for breakfast, but food was so awful that we had to eat out. The owner is rally unpleasant man who doesn’t accept any comments and when we told him about food or dirty room he wated us to leave his place!
Response from Property: We're sorry that you were angry during your entire visit to our fair island, but your comments lead us to believe you have mistaken us for somewhere else. We can't confirm whether you were actually our guest but our rooms are reported as being very clean by the majority of our reviews and if we had something that was reported out of service we'd move you if we couldn't fix it. You could not have paid us for breakfast even if you wanted to, since we don't offer breakfast. Our rooms come with its own kitchen, so anything eaten here are prepared by yourself or purchased elsewhere. Mahalo from the state of Hawaii!

This hotel in a very bad condition. We got really distasteful breakfast and the owner is a rude man e cares only how to make tourist pay more for his poor service – that’s all I can say abut this place. I would never choose it again as there are a lot of nice and cheaper hotels around.
Response from Property: Our sympathies that you didn't enjoy your visit in Hawaii, but it seems that you have confused us with somewhere else. What stands out in your review the most is that we're not a B&B and we have never provided breakfast so it's unlikely that anything in your review actually pertains to us. Our rooms have full kitchens so anything you eat here you would have been prepared by yourself or purchased elsewhere so we are sorry that you did not find your own meal palatable. Mahalo from the state of Hawaii!

Wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer mit Küche genommen (6. Etage).
