Riverview Lodge

Stayed two nights. Warm, comfortable room that was clean and organized. Plenty of soap, shampoo, and towels.

First time staying there, but will be back. Great option when skiing on Mount Hood. Really fun restaurants nearby.

It was very clean and convenient, but the cleaning products were extremely perfumey and the scent is stuck to my clothing and my travel gear for many days. The hot tub was broken or unavailable, and I was not notified of that before booking. I was told there is a pool, but I was not told that it was tiny. However, my kids really enjoyed it. I just think that they should be upfront about that. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

It was fast, easy to check in and out. The lady in the office was very friendly and polite. They did some remodeling on some rooms, the one we stayed in anyhow. It was cute. I would recommend it to anybody staying in Hood River. Very very nice place.

No dining table. Overpriced. Should have only been half the price of what I paid.

Did not meet some expectations ie breakfast and room amenities I am used to Good bed! They are updating an old motel with upgrades coming Wish them luck with the completion around

Not sure how this place has 8/10 stars… The lady at the front was quite unfriendly, she was short and snarky like we were inconveniencing her. Called early in the day and asked if we could check in early, we had a wedding at 4 we needed to get ready for, she said no checkin is at 3, period. Got there about 2:45 and were then told checkin was at 4, even though in my confirmation email and over the phone it was confirmed 3. Got to our room, it was pretty shabby & dated, very poor lighting which made getting ready tough. Morning of checkout someone knocked on our door @ 10:45 to “check on us”. Then someone called at 11 on the dot to ask when we were leaving and that we had 15 mins to be out. Overall just a very poor experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone Location was convenient and price was decent, parking was good, and there are two breakfast / brunch spots within walking distance. Those are the only good things I have to say

This was the worst hotel experience. Check in was fine but it went downhill from there. The TV was not getting any cable channels. Called the front desk for info on how to work the TV and was told the only TV was through streaming services but had to use my own access. The toilet also clogged on first use so called to get it fixed. Asked if maintenance could also check the TV while we were out for the evening because it looked like a cable box was connected to the TV. When we returned, the TV was working but the toilet was not. However, they left the plunger for me to do it myself. Apparently, that was a good thing since it clogged again. The actual worst part was that the walls were so thin we could hear the person in the room next to us so clearly on the phone that we could hear the person’s voice that he was talking to. Around midnight, he and his daughter (we know this because we could hear them so clearly) had a fight that went on until we finally knocked on the wall and asked for them to quiet down. They finally did but around 2AM they began talking loudly again and roughhousing. This time, we called the front desk to handle it but there was no answer. So again, we knocked on the wall and asked them to quiet down. They finally did, but by then we had lost a good portion of our night’s sleep. I couldn’t wait for the front desk to ask about our evening when we checked out only to find out they don’t staff the front desk at 7AM when we left.

We had a room for two nights for two people... this meant we would be there for daytime as well. We were not provided any chairs to sit on or other furniture, only 2 beds. Also, due to power outage, we were put in a temporary room and then had to make arrangements to move to a new room. This was not the fault of management or staff, and they were very helpful... but we should have been reimbursed some of our stay for the inconvenience.
