Old Hall Hotel Hope

Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. We were booked in but arrived really early. We asked if we could eat early and in the bar area rather than the dining area, not a problem at all. Lovely staff and amazing food. We’ll definitely be back. Love reading Rick’s responses to reviews on here!!

Fantastic stay, beautiful hotel and wonderful staff - felt taken care of and everyone was so personable, the room was also super clean and the included breakfast was delicious. Felt like a true countryside hospitality experience. Location was also fantastic, you can walk to Castleton in about 40 minutes by following the road OR take the bus which takes about 6 minutes. SO easy to get to and tons to do. Visit the Peak Cavern (Devil's ****), walk up to Speedwell Cavern from there and walk up to Mam Tor - on the way there's Treak Cavern which is GREAT. Very walkable from this hotel! The train station is also very close so you can visit all the nearby towns.

Myself and a friend stayed here as our resting point from a gig at Peak Cavern. Such a beautiful building, steeped in history. But to top it off all of the staff were great, had such a laugh with them all in the evening and will definitely be returning again. There's a part of me that will remain on the rafters of that place.

6 lady friend went to the Old Hall Hotel for our breakfast after staying overnight in Castleton. WOW 👌 we were met by Mouse and Karen lovely friendly people 😊 they just couldn't be more lovely. Our teas and coffee were brought in just a few minutes followed by the best breakfast beautifully cooked served on hot plates by the lovely Karen. Food was very tasty and so much of it... eggs were done as we asked delicious 😋 great experience and to top it because we had stayed at the Peak Hotel we were given a 25% discount. Well done for friendliness, food quality, lovely dining room 👌 service ....we will definitely be back to see you best wishes from Lynn Happy Christmas 🎄

Great stay, the room was well presented, warm and cosy. The staff, friendly. The meals in the pub, excellent. Breakfast in the tea room was also 1st class. On our second night, we went to the pubs sister pub, The Anchor, and listened to the folk club. Absolutely brilliant. We will be back.

Popped in for lunch unplanned, food was delicious. I can recommend Calamari, chilli beef Nachos and the fish and chips. Thanks to the lovely friendly Joanne who served us. We will be back!

Came here on Fridqy and had the fish and chip, they were lovely, however the guy behind the bar with the glasses, was extremely off hand and alot of huffing and puffing. We came back on Monday for food and drinks after being told that the kitchen was serving until 830, we decided to order at 7, to be told that the kitchen was now closed!!! After they were advertising the hopeshow after party, disappointed to say the least. You would have thought with it being hope show they would have forseen how busy they would have been....clearly not.
