We booked a Deluxe Double coastal view room. The room was clean and spacious and well equipped with decent tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and could not have been more helpful. The pub menu was great. Breakfast menu and buffet could not be faulted, lots of choice and freshly cooked as well. We would definitely stay again. Our only gripe was the very creaky floorboards on the second floor which woke us up every morning when the upstairs guests were wandering around at 6am. (Not the hotels fault). A second floor room might be a better option if you like a lie-in.

We had 2 nights at this lovely costal pub. The staff are great, very friendly and all seemed happy in their work! We stayed in a dog friendly sea view room which was great. As well as the pub we ate in the bar/ restaurant next door which I would also recommend. Breakfast menu was extensive. Don’t delay book today!!

Great country hotel in a beautiful location. Friendly staff and good food make for a most enjoyable stay. Positioned virtually on the beach and the start point to some great walks it is an ideal place for a short break or longer holiday. Thoroughly recommend it.

We loved everything about our stay. The location is breathtaking, the perfect resting spot for walking the SW coastal path. Our room was large and comfortable, with wonderful sea views. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We will definitely book again

This is our second stay and the welcome was just as warm as the first. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and our four legged companion was treated like a VIP. The room was really comfortable and well equipped and the doggy hamper was a lovely touch. We really look forward to a return visit.

Recently stayed in The Hope & Anchor for a couple of days 18th March 24, we didn’t take our dog as planned. The stay was fantastic very relaxing and the staff were attentive, polite and couldn’t do enough for us. They had a great sense of humour and really looked after us. Room was fab and cosy and clean, breakfast really good. Love the area too. We definitely recommend staying here and will come again. Even though we didn’t take our dog, we noticed how welcome dogs were and allowed to go anywhere with you eg the bar and restaurant and breakfast too. Thank you to all staff on the days we were there, Athers the manager especially even going out of his way to make sure I had a bar of chocolate lol Thanks Debs and Bob

Lovely location, comfortable room. Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly and made our Springer spaniel very welcome. Would definitely consider another visit. We would recommend this venue. The only downside is the access road is very narrow and bumpy.

Return trip to Hope and Anchor. We requested the same room as close to side entrance down staircase and straight outside with dogs without going via bar . Breakfast is very good , we ate dinner also this time and that was good. All the staff are really friendly and excellent customer service.

Great sea view rooms, super comfy beds. Loved the toiletries in the bathroom (not little plastic individuals) Spacious bar and dining areas. Breakfast room was lovely as was breakfast and Louise looked after all 10 of us so well. Nice friendly staff throughout .
