The location is good and beautiful, but the access from Male Airport is pretty bad and hotel kept us wait at the airport for quite long. They only have 2 flight in one day and they never tell us the exact time previously. The facility is not bad though.

The overall experience is very good👍, especially the three meals a day are very rich, and each meal is different and the dishes taste great!

We had our 10-day honeymoon at the Royal Island Resort and Spa. The hotel is very clean and the island beautiful surrounded with great snorkling places. The food and drinks are amazing, as is the staff. We would especially like to thank Roji, our host, for her kind support during our stay. We would also like to thank Pandi, Agus and Destiny as well as all the other staff who made sure we were comfortable.

We are happy we chose this hotel to spend our 10th wedding anniversary. Everything was well-organized; from the transport arranged from Male Airport (note that it will take another 3-4 hours to get to the hotel once you arrive at Male), the check-in (we arrived at noon and were able to make use of the AI lunch buffet while they were preparing our villa), the villa (we stayed in #175, which was a standalone sunset beach villa at the more quieter side of the island), the location (green, lush island with dreamy beaches and a housereef where you can find beautiful fishes, turtles and small sharks), food & drinks (high in quantity, variety and quality, the management ensured the dietary wishes of my wife (no gluten and no lactose) were met, the facilities (we made use of the pool, tennis, badminton, table-tennis, billiards, same-day laundry (paid), the spa (paid) and the manta ray excursion with the diving centre (paid)) All were outstanding! Even though we had some rain the first half of our stay, we were still able to have a great time, due to the many facilities the hotel offers. But the highlight of this vacation was the service and the staff. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel special and cared for. They arranged several surprise attentions for our anniversary, which really made this stay memorable. With special thanks to Sonia and Noble (both from guest services), Mithila and Nishanta (both from Makaana), Nor (our housekeeper) and Anaan (the photographer). Also thanks to the team from the Sport Center and Medial Center, they too gave outstanding service. We wish you all the best and we hope to be back in the near future :) Tips for management: - more sun loungers around the pool area - more gluten-free and plant-based meal options in your daily menu (e.g. desserts)

The people working on this hotel is making a 5 star hotel!The reef next to the island is doing this.As for the.people i will remind Mini(the lady taking care of us on daily basis), Pandi from the restaurant(always smiling and chating and assuring we have a good table).The food was great with so much diversity and not repeating every day as other hotels do.The villa was big enough for us,the shower outside and it was cleaning twice a day. My daughter felt amazing here and she experienced her first massage at the SPA.I cannot find the words to describe but i recommend from my heart just go and visit Royal Island Hotel! Many thanks to MINI and PANDI who make our maldivian experience great :)

I really liked your hotel and its service. It has been my lifelong dream to be in the Maldives, and here it has finally come true. Everything was as I imagined with you. It's just that your country is very far from us and the journey was very long, but interesting. All the hotel staff were very friendly and smiling. The hotel was very clean and exotic. Most foods were too spicy for me, but I found foods that were good for me. The beach was perfect, clean, beautiful, well maintained and the turquoise color of the water was heavenly. And the fact that we were able to see the animal world very close to the coast, it was really a miracle, which is not found anywhere else, I think. I am very satisfied with everything, I will recommend it to everyone. I will come again. Thank you...

Beautiful place, very friendly and kind service people, big variaty of foods. Amazing nature, sealife, manta ray snorkelling was awesome. Don't miss the spa, it is a charming place and massage services are of very goog quality. Look for Noble for perfect local assistance.

Our experience with the hotel was really great, all staff was very kind, the manager, Sonia Widi was very helpfull and kind, and informed us about everything we needed, many thanks for her help. The staff on the bar and restaurant was really nice too. Food was great and big variety. Villas are nice, and you have a private entry to the beach, everything was clean, room service is twice a day! A great variety of water sports also. Thank you very much for our perfect stay!

The Island is big & green,the sea itself beautiful.We had a great welcome by Noble our host .I want to express my garatitude to him.He showed hospitality and took care of our entire holiday. Beach villa offers beatifull view of snow white beach. The restaurant, spa and the water sports is really great ,people are super friendly ,food is amazing. It was a memorable stay we will come back

It was wonderful Very beautiful island ,the exterior of the hotel and it's territory. Very comfortable and wide rooms. Liked the opened shower. Liked the food in restaurant and drinks in the bar. Service on high level. Special thanks to Saina our supervisor, who was helping us the whole trip. Will remember our small chatting with our waiter Pandi on every meal. He is very kindhearted person. We have been lucky to have nice weather and sea ⛵ It is suppose to be rain season but we got only some days with clouds and rare rains at night. Thanks to the watersports guys and from diving center , Mikela ,Zain ,Zahib for the experience of the snorkeling ,kiting, diving ;) We have seen the sharks,mantas ,turtles and a lot of bright fishes. Loved whole experience we have got at that hotel and for these 2 weeks.

Between the large amount of resorts in Maldives we have picked Royal Island Resort and we couldnt be happier of our choice! We were coming in after a full, busy and intense week in India and decided to pick a week of relax by the seaside. Honestly speaking? Everything worked perfectly! Starting from the warm welcoming and dedicated checkin after the internal connection handled directly by the resort, we got in touch with Nipun as our dedicated many point of contact to ease our stay. Special mention to him as really was very reactive and supporting in everything like arranging activities and escursion, providing guidance and useful recommendations everyday and brillantly solving a couple of small issues we have had during our stay which required medical support (my wife had a small otitis while I cut myself while swimming, nothing serious but promptly addressed). Kudos Nipun, well done and keep the good work! Special mention to all the staff as well as waiters, room service and aquatic sport team were all fully committed to make our stay lovely. Need to mention as well Joyce and her lovely husband which everyday are playing greatly acoustic covers and gave us the opportunity to join them playing music togheter pretty much every time they saw us! Thank you all guys, wonderful team! Looking at the island, I'll try to cut it short as you have plenty of picture available which represents the true inner beauty of this island. The seaside and corals are great as well as the rooms which were cleaned twice a DAY. No need to go with Villa with private pool in my opinion as the sea is way more cristal clear! We were staying on room 228 on the main reception and buffet restaurant side, I have noticed this side is generally more calm (at least during our stay) therefore recommended to have the perfect water condition as the other side was a bit more windy and exposed. Please note the bathroom is open type, was no big issue to us to shower and esplicate natural functions open air (you have plenty of privacy anyway) . Food is great as well, buffet restaurant is varying everyday and you can also pick food at the bars (we felt in love with fried calamari and hamburgers) or go to a La Carte restaurant were food is really awesome (I am from Italy, you know we Italians really care about food ) What I definitely recommend is to go with all inclusive treatment and go for 7 nights stay if you get the chance as you'll get extra features which are really adding value to your stay. On top of the standard all inclusive with drinks and snacks and all the main benefits, with premium all inclusive you get free of charge 1 meal every day at "La Carte" restaurant which is great, 1h spa treatment, 10 minutes motor sports, minibar fully furnished everyday and 3 trips included (we went for fishing experience, dolphins cruise and local island experience). Maybe I was too long, sorry for that, but this place was definitely a YES for us and deserved a positive rev

My Girlfriend and me went for the first Time to the Maladives and choose the Royal Island Resort. We were lucky to have Noble by our side who explains us and be there the hole week for us. We were very pleased with his brilliant service. Also Sha the waitress in the Bar was very nice and did a perfect job! Will come defenately again! Very Nice!
