Luang Prabang Hostels

A superb youth travel in Luang Prabang, I highly recommend friends who come to experience a bad life. Drink coffee every day, do massage, three or five friends sit down to eat, drink and chat together, it is not too cool. The store is very clean and you can cook by yourself. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a small curtain for isolation. The two owners in the store are Chinese and very kind. I also helped me a lot during my stay, such as car rental, travel and car appointments. During my stay, I also met many friends who came here to play, let me unlock the wonderful experience in Luang Prabang!

🇱🇦Affordable Accommodation in Luang Prabang Laos Luang Prabang Hostel got 3.8/5 in Trip.Com reviews, for me highly reccommended to backpackers and to all solo traveler who want to explore LPB specially in the center. Location is really good just infront of this is the morning market. Few walks to the Mekong River and Night Market. It is also near to Phousi Mountain, famous temples and Royal Palace. Price is really cheap. For the local staff 2 young girls-for me it is fine that they cannot handle the booking of van going to train station from hostel ,but maybe next time it is more convenient if they can negotiate to other van services same un other hostel/hotel in LPB not informing the guest ”our boss is not here and we don't know”. Lucky got the service in front of Night Market. Room is clean. My room is dormitory and have 4 beds. Maybe I'm just lucky because I am alonr e in the room. Every bed there isbsafety box , plugs, personal light. Beds are comfortable and there is blanket and towel. They have shared toilet , separate urinals and showers-very clean. Typical good for breakfast. You need to ask the reception for breakfast - have 3 choices : omelette egg and slice of bread, sunnyside up egg and slice of bread and instant noodles with sunnyside up egg but there is good thing , unlimited brewed coffee and tea. There is long dining table and living room so guests stay here, can meet other people. The hotel was newly opened this year and there are many foreigners staying there. The owner is Chinese and is warm and friendly. There is a large public area on the first floor. I especially like chatting with the owner and the guests there. The atmosphere is very good. There is also a large balcony on the second floor where you can wash and dry clothes, and also smoke and chat. There are many foreigners staying here. Clean and hygienic. The bed is the most spacious I have ever stayed in, and it can sleep two people. The hotel is very close to Puxi Mountain and the night market

Great hostel especially for this price. You should definitely book it in Luang Prabang if you’re a solo traveler on a budget. Although Mad Monkey has a reputation of party hostel, I slept well and weren’t disturbed by any sounds because bar in the hostel shut down at 11pm. Female dorm was nice and clean. There are curtains for each bed, hair dryer in the bathroom, you can also rent a towel.

I don’t usually write reviews and was very skeptical about this hostel when I booked it since it’s so low cost (I paid USD $15 for 3 nights including taxes). I took a chance on it due to all the prior/raving reviews... so here I am writing one in case you have the same doubt! This is a relatively newly opened hostel and on my arrival, Mr Lai Lee put me in a separate room so I can have some privacy to myself. This is such a nice gesture (tho it’s low travel season in Laos), but he didn’t have to do that... the bed and linens are clean and they assured me there will be no cockroaches as I’m terrified of them lol... I saw none during my entire stay here and they kept the common areas very clean at all times. In the morning, they serve you either western style omelette or Lao noodle soup for breakfast which really makes you think if they charged enough for my hotel stay! This hostel is located near the Phou Si Mountain and everything you need in LP. The local restaurant right across the road is excellent too. In mornings I usually chat with Mr Dao and he shared his experience as a novice monk and some local insights with me... it’s really an experience that I would pay triple or more to get and my stay here has been an awesome one. I had to say the word ”Wow” because the Hostel here was more than I expected. The rooms at the Hostel are nothing special, quite comfortable and clean. There is also a laundry service so guests can feel secure when staying for a long time. The outdoor swimming pool is airy and has a roof in case it gets too sunny or rainy, so you can comfortably soak in the pool as you please. What I love most about staying here is people and staff. I traveled alone so I was quite lonely. Luckily, I met new friends in the dorm room and the staff here are also quite friendly, always willing to help. and interact with us every time you have free time. Believe it or not, the nighttime exchange activities are extremely exciting and I really like each day with a different theme. On the contrary, for extroverts like me, it is a good place to consider.

Very comfortable B&B, good value for money, close to attractions, scooters available for rent, and in a great location, close to the best night market we've ever been to for food and quality clothing. The hotel has helpful and friendly staff, laundry service, and booking transfers to the waterfalls and train station.
