This great hostel is in a great location in the old quarter alongside a busy road. The staff are really good and the check in process is simple and easy. The 6 dorm bed was clean and comfortable and we got some great nights sleeps. There is a bed light, a free locker big enough to store huge backpacks, and a curtain for each bed for privacy. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and there is shampoo and shower gel available too. You are also given a free towel at check in. Wi-Fi is great, and there are some relaxing common areas which are great for reading and planning activities etc. Laundry is available at the hostel and they can turn it around in 24 hours (cheapest) or even quicker (pay more). Overall I would absolutely recommend staying here as this hostel really is brilliant.

It’s a nice cozy hotel located on a lively street. The service was good. The room was nice and pretty clean, though the toilet bowl’s room had some dust on it. The biggest problem I discovered it was the nose in water pipes, it was so loud that even air plugs didn’t help me in the morning. Sound isolation to other rooms and to the hall was also very poor, so it was difficult to sleep.

We visited this hotel on November 25, 2019. Comfortable and sound proof. Located on the 3rd floor Terminal 1. Free water bottle and some breakfast available. Good restaurants in the vicinity since we are inside the airport. The toilet is on the same floor and does not have shower option. This place is ideal if you have a connecting flight with a long stopover. They provide a discount coupon for lucky restaurant. We reached the terminal 1 by taking a free shuttle from terminal 2.

First of all this is my first time stayed in Hostels ever. I booked it because of the reviews abiu social activities etc. I haven't met anyone. In fact people were sitting with headphones on playing on the laptops. Not very social.
Minus:
Cleaning should be improved. It was dirty, the cleaner cleaned bathroom, but not the floor in the room, so heair was everywhere. They don't chamge bedsheets after previous customers as well. No place where to hang the towel, even there is a balcony. The room is much bigger on the photos. In fact it's smaller
Plus:
Good chef, friendly stuff.
As I said it was my first and the last time in hostels ever. This bed coasts like a normal private room, but you feel uncomfortable with another 3 people, have to wait to visit a bathroom, listen to their snoring, coughing. So I canceled my other prepaid days and moved to another hotel where I can sleep and sh*t when I want.

Excellent hostel which is very convenient to central Hanoi. It’s also close to the smaller of the lakes and near numerous Vegan/Chay food options. The facilities are reasonably modern and clean despite certain other guests, one of whom is a repulsive smoker who contaminates the dorm with vile cigarette fumes - after puffing in the restroom or outside on the narrow pavement. For information, there are no lifts and the hostel also serves as a laundry service too. There is some seating on the ground floor and thankfully this is not a “party” hostel

We arrived as a walk in from an overnight bus at 6am having spotted the guest house with good reviews on a booking engine. Approaching up the narrow alleyway in drizzle and early morning mist felt like stepping back in time to Victorian London! I woke the sleeping desk clerk who showed us a first floor room. It was small, seemed clean enough and had a small shared balcony overlooking a small courtyard with surrounding buildings. It’s off the road so no traffic noise but a little chatter from pot washers from an adjoining locals food stand. There was a fridge and a/c which wasn’t needed with the damp February air feeling quite Autumnal- we actually borrowed a fan heater. Location is good- 5 mins to the lake and plenty of restaurants all around. Beer street bars are a 10 minute walk. Shower had good pressure and hot water but bathroom floor never dried out. Bed was comfy. This isn’t a swish boutique hotel, it feels very much like a home stay with the owners eating and sleeping in reception. You are in an authentic Hanoi back street where people live and work so expect the sights and sounds that come with that. It’s also a bit quirky with owners belongings all over and a strange sleeping compartment accessed via a ladder above our room! For £15 a night in a central location in a major city though it served its purpose.

Excellent
JJohnI stayed in this friendly place for a month. Polite staff, delicious breakfasts and a very homely atmosphere. Toilets are clean, showers too. The house itself, in which the hostel is located, resembles a French house from Provence. A nice lady at the reception will come to your help at any time of the day, concerning life in the hostel, and will also help you navigate in Hanoi. As I already wrote, the hostel provides delicious breakfasts, which are served every morning in the lobby - breakfasts are very full, so you will not go hungry. Also, upon request, they can prepare lunch or dinner for you, and you can also use the bar. In addition to food and drinks, the hostel provides laundry services, you can rent a bike or bicycle, and you can also order various tours of Hanoi and the suburbs of Hanoi. I was on a tour of Hanoi from the hostel; I was satisfied with everything; I learned more about the city. Overall, the hostel is suitable for both short-term and long-term stays - both the location and the services, as well as the attractive prices. I will recommend it to my friends and acquaintances.
GGuest UserWe had a very good stay here! - Very helpful staff too! (Duy was excellent both times we stayed!) The private room we had both times we stayed was more hotel like and still a very reasonable price. The room was Very comfortable and well equipped with fridge, tv and nice bathroom. Great location in the Old Quarter too! Both times we stayed, we had to leave early and Duy was very helpful getting us on the WiFi and helping with our bags and liaising with the representative from the bus when we had to leave. Duy also went beyond the call of duty and carried our bags upstairs for us and recommended good places to go nearby. We liked it so much we came back 1 week later before our flight out!

TTrip51141111579Spent 5 hours here as my flight from London arrived into Hanoi at 5am and I couldn’t check in at my hotel till 12pm. Cost $57nzd. Brilliant concept. The pod was clean, had fan and aircon. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke some English, the toilets near the pod hotel were very clean and little used. The pod was good as I could go for a walk and leave my luggage locked in the pod. The receptionist even changed some big notes I’d got from the money machine downstairs to smaller denominations (essential for tipping in Vietnam). The hotel is located on level 2, up the escalator, at the far end of that floor. Nb the hotel is landside not airside so you have to get a Vietnam visa to clear immigration. The instructions sent by the hotel say you have to ‘clear security’. OBVIOUSLY this means immigration. The hotel is located landside NOT airside. Anyone with any commonsense can tell this. To enter Vietnam you have to get an online visa and you can find the link to this on the Sherpa travel website. This takes a couple of days to process and is not an arduous task as it’s all done online. So the reviewers who were only transitting Vietnam and booked the hotel and didn’t get the visa, so couldn’t go landslide, to use the pod hotel need to do a little MORE homework before they leave home. Just saying.
TTobias TIf you're looking for a simple yet cozy hostel in the heart of Hanoi, look no further than this hidden gem. The hostel boasts clean and comfortable rooms, with friendly and helpful owners who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Located just next to St. Joseph cathedral and Hoan Kiem lake, this hostel offers a prime location for exploring the city's many attractions. The rooms are well-equipped with comfortable beds and offer beautiful views of the surrounding area. While the church bells can be a bit loud in the morning, it's a small price to pay for such a convenient location. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel for travelers seeking a budget-friendly and welcoming place to stay in Hanoi.

GGuest UserIt’s very stuffy in the room as well as the bathroom. The smell is not so pleasant and the bathroom has hair everywhere, even after cleaning service. The limited bathroom situation is not ideal but manageable. The curtains on the beds are almost sheer and offer zero darkness and don’t close completely so there is a lack of privacy as well. The reception is right next to the room, separated only by a glass wall and door so it’s very loud and the lounge area is in the room itself, adding to the noise. I wish I would’ve pre-booked one night instead of three. Their saving grace is the location and the staff are all super lovely and helpful.

IIsa_mlWhere do we start. Privacy 0 If you have a lower bed, everyone can look inside your bed. Everyone is going based, you see you.
Not all toilets and showers close.
In my room, the air conditioner was dropping a lot of water, and because it was in front of the door, it was always completely wet. I told the receptionist, and he simply said that he knows. No towel or anything to clean it up.
Oh, and not to forget the internet is awful. I maybe had internet 5% of the time and even then really bad. Most of the time, you couldn't google or anything.
I've been to many hostels, and this is probably the worst of all.

GGuest UserThe slippers that were provided for walking around the room was too loud, where it is difficult to be quiet when walking around in them. The husband is also uptight in not letting people eat in the dining area but outside which I can understand and could go along with, because they don't want the guest to leave garbage or get their table dirty, but they need to at least leave a garbage can outside so the guest don't have to leave it on the ground. I didn't like how I couldn't find a place to throw my ice cream wrapper away when I ate it outside and had to end up throwing it in the garbage of another person's place.
I also didn't like the location of how it was out of the city center where it wasn't near any grocery stores or open fruit and vegetable, and meat markets. Just by a bunch of restaurants some being a bunch of aggressive jerks sitting outside waiting for bystanders to walk by where they try to aggressively approach you to get you to eat at their restaurant. I need a place where I can use a kitchen to cook food for myself. I don't need to eat out every day.
These owners are a bit shady at times in that when I did came in early where it was not time for me to check in where I was willing to wait until my room is ready, their son had the nerve to try to make a few bucks off me in that if I pay them a few bucks, I can have my room before the check in time which was a bit tacky. The husband didn't give me very good advice when he told me that staying at this place is good for going into the city center and coming back, which it isn't for me, because I have to take the bus 1 hour and 45 minutes to the city center which is a longways. What lousy advice for my situation like he was trying to convince me to stay longer just so that they can make more money off of me. This was a little tacky too. Good for them, but not good for me.
I also didn't like how they send my clothing to a cleaner when I thought they were going to wash it in their washer and hang it up on their clothesline on their top floor. Not only that, but the cleaners lost my dress pants in the process or probably even stoled it and kept it for themselves and not really telling me the truth. I told them about this and they said that the cleaners who they sent it to didn't know what happen to it. The owners were even trying to try to lie a little bit by saying that I never gave them a dress pants for them to wash which is a bunch of ********.
They could have just let me use their washer where I could have used my own detergent to wash my clothing and hang it up to dry on their clothesline on the rooftop of their place where I would have paid them for it. For all I know these cleaners that they sent my clothing to for them to wash could be their friend and they are trying to help give their friends the business for any of their guests that has laundry for them to use. These cleaners are probably a bunch of thieves for all I know that probably looked through guests clothing for things that are valuable which they take and pretend that they don't know anything about it when the guests inquire of it. This is another shady tactical thing that they are probably doing as well.
I even asked them if they could compensate me which would not have amounted to much which they had refused. They didn't even have the nerve to apologize to me but to only lie to me by telling me ******** that the cleaners who they sent guests clothing to never lose any of their clothing which is a bunch of ********. All of this could have been avoided had they either let me use their washer or they wash it for me in their washer where I would have paid them. Do not trust these people with your clothing!!!!
KKraburiVery friendly people working there. Did stay there for 6 nights. Room top floor no sound from outside good double bed and nice furniture including television and a watercooker. Location just about the opposite of the old town need to cross the river hotel next to the bridge.

IIwa1608It's 10 seconds walk from the intersection of the Old Quarter, very good to play in the old town. It is necessary to be careful because the hotel signboard remains ”ibiz city hostel” which was the previous hotel name regardless of the famous Marriott hotel. At night, the street on the table is noisy, and the 1 floor is more noisy at the bar for foreigners. It is the center of the dormitory, but there is also a family room. However, the family mule is 2 floor ~, so the noise hits directly. No elevator. The employees are very kind, but at night they seemed to be busy at the bar and at the travel agency in the daytime. The family room had a refrigerator and electric pot, but there is no security BOX. There is also a set of amenities, but there is no replenishment such as shampoo and no bottled water service. The shower is difficult to adjust, but hot water comes out properly. There is no bathtub. It was breakfast, but there were many delicious shops around, so I didn't use it.
