Reviews of Starry Inn Hualien

Nice hotel and very close to Xincheng train station where there is also a regular free bus to Hualien and Taroko (around once an hour until mid afternoon). There's also a paid bus that goes more regularly to the Taroko visitor centre. Whilst it's close the the station, there's nothing much else here. It's 1km walk to the closest 7-11 or Familymart and even further to a restaurant in the old street. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the food was nice, but it closes at 7:30.

Excellent location for visitors who use public transportation. Excellent breakfast.

Stayed in double room with bath and balcony. Great views and large comfortable bed. Bath was big and had window view. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast included is delicious and accommodates for vegetarian diet. Close to train station. Would stay again.

Location was good, one of the nearest to the train station, about 5-7mins walk. There is a roof terrace and in-house restaurant. They also provide bike rental. The local night market (only on fri-sun night), was just one street away outside the Inn walkable in 1-2 mins. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. The room looks clean overall, but we spotted some mouldy spots around.

Service and location are great for my car-rental trip. Hotel is pet friendly.

The location is very good. It’s only a 2-minute walk from Xincheng Station. Check-in time is until 21:00. I received a call at 19:00 to confirm the check-in time. Foreign guests should remind me by email. Breakfast is available for the trip. We will inform you after reminding you.

Quiet, comfortable bed, clean

It's great. They even helped me upgrade. It's very cost-effective. If you cycle around the island, it's right next to Xincheng Station, which is very convenient.

Very comfortable living environment

There happened to be a night market that day, and the location is right next to the station. The room is large and the hair dryer is great. They also upgraded us to have a balcony, but the only thing is that the air conditioner is very loud. There are fewer breakfast options, but everything else is excellent. The proprietress is very kind.

The service was great and they were willing to provide an extra quilt. The breakfast is great, with steamed green leaf rice, sweet potato, buns, and steamed eggs, which is different from the simple meals, sandwiches or burgers in other hotels.

I was traveling around the island by bicycle. In order not to take the long journey on the Suhua Highway, I chose to ride to Xincheng at night. Unexpectedly, when I arrived in Xincheng, the accommodation was fully booked. I saw that the hotel had rooms available on trip.com, so I immediately made a reservation. Then I went over immediately. The staff was very nice. I didn't have a room originally, but she arranged a beautiful room for me. Although bicycles cannot enter the room, they can be parked in the hotel lobby, which is very safe. Although the toilet is not completely separated from wet and dry, it will not be completely wet after taking a shower. The water pressure is very stable and there is plenty of hot water. Xincheng Railway Station is right opposite the hotel, and the convenience store is just a few hundred meters away. It turns out that this hotel can also rent bicycles, and they are giant bicycles. The bed was very comfortable. If I didn't have to rush, I would have stayed a little later. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance to come back next time.
