GGisela. LThe room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was also well-appointed, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining options nearby, which was very convenient. Ample parking was also available.

GGuest UserThe breakfast options were quite varied. My family and I stayed in a twin room this time, but if you're taller than 175cm, you might find the bed a bit insecure. ><
The room was very clean. Even if you didn't specifically choose a room with a view, you could still enjoy the vast mountain views from the curtains. ⛰️✨ The only drawback was the lack of electrical outlets and a tabletop mirror. Women had to stand in the entrance hall or use the bathroom mirror to put on makeup.

GGuest UserUpdates: I had a great stay at Fullon Hotel Hualien. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has awesome view of the harbor. The location is ideal for me—close to the coast, at the start of the bike trail, and in a peaceful area. I loved being able to borrow a bike from the hotel, making it easy to explore the bike-friendly town.
The staff was friendly and attentive. Even those who didn’t speak English used Google Translate to communicate, which I appreciated. The only downside was difficulty reaching the hotel before my arrival to confirm the station pick-up, which wasn’t sorted out and confirmed until the day before I arrived.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. Most likely will stay here again next time I'm in Hualien. Hopefully, I can reach them easier next time.

2025/01/13: Impossible to contact as a foreign visitor. I tried to send messages to the hotel via both email and LINE that were listed on their website since I don't live in TW. I tried to arrange for their pick up service from Hualien Station which is included with my stay. I have sent my inquiry for the details. I finally managed to get messages back one time via LINE after a day with a website that's not in English and a picture showing only a phone number for booking. At least the hotel didn't ask me to do international phone call and finally said I can request the booking with them via the LINE channel. So I sent the booking request with details. That was 3 days ago. And I have not received any message back or heard a peep from them. So I assume the service is still not booked.
Not that the free ride matters since I should be able to get a cab easily, but the service, especially what's promise and the helpfulness of the staff, is quite underwhelming and on the side of not hospitable.
For the same trip, I also had to reach out to Tango Hotel Taipei. They were very helpful with my inquiry and very fast.
Hopefully the stay is nice. I'll come back to update my review then.

GGuest UserWhen we arrived at the hotel that night, we asked the receptionist to help us check in, but the receptionist asked us to check in on the machine ourselves. As a result, we had to shuttle back and forth between the two buildings without being able to check in. Later, we returned to the previous one. At the counter, I asked the lady to check in. She said there might be something wrong with the machine, dizzy😵💫. In addition, I booked a room for two people and a room for one person, a total of two rooms. When the receptionist gave us the key card, she did not tell us that the room was a large one and a small room. It was not until the next day that I found out that the two people lived in a small room. Room, I think she should tell us about this. Two people can live in a large room without being so crowded. There was also no drinking water in the room, and the front desk staff didn't tell them in advance. Later, we called to inquire and found out that it was on the first floor. The hotel should have let passengers know this in advance, but they didn't. This was a terrible travel experience.

YYuriOverall a good experience (except one thing - see in the bottom). The location is somewhat central and on the walking promenade, but not very close to the railway station or the waterfront. About 25-35 min walk to the railway station but still okay. About 15 min to the waterfront.
Food options: there are a couple of local restaurants right near across from the promenade, including a noodle shop, a tempura donburi and a fried seafood place - all along the promenade. There's also a PX Mart not too far away, about 5 min walk.
The rooms are spacious and clean, very new renovation (as of 2025, seems like 2023-2024), no fridge in the room (on the first floor only), but there's a kettle. The bed was somewhat stiff but okay.
Overall felt like great value for the location and the quality, and especially the room size.
The only drawback - Easy to fix - was the towels. There was no proper size bathroom towels on my stay in May 2025. The small towels are rather insuficcient for showering.

GGuest UserThe exterior may not be very stunning and the hotel may feel a bit old, but after entering, you will slowly discover its inner charm.
The Daoxiang double room we stayed in was very elegant and large, especially the oversized bed which was super comfortable to sleep on. I am an elderly person who is undergoing neck rehabilitation and I am very picky about beds and pillows, but I slept very soundly and deeply here. A big thumbs up to the hotel owner for choosing the hard bed facilities. The room is super clean. Although the hardware equipment is not new, it has a simple and elegant charm, which I like. It's a bit like Kung Fu tea that needs to be savored slowly.
We are an elderly couple who came to Hualien to visit friends. Before checking in, we requested a quiet room with no smoke. We could not stay in the side room due to our physical condition. Although the room had some minor flaws in sound insulation, the hotel met our needs. The peaceful and pleasant environment in the rice fields will give you a good night's sleep.
The backyard also gets high marks, and is perfect for a relaxing stroll.
The breakfast was rich and delicious.
This is very suitable for us who don't need dazzling amusement facilities and come here to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing accommodation environment.
The only drawback is that they don't provide dinner, but we solved that by using the hotel's instant noodles and ordering takeout via mobile phone.
The price is very reasonable and it is a highly recommended accommodation.

神神奇a小捲毛The room is very dim, the toilet lighting is not enough, the indoor mop is reused but looks gray and unclean, it really feels like a prison, and I don't know if it is to enhance the prison experience or for some other reason, the drinking water smells super bad and is not drinkable at all, it feels like a lack of management.
The only two advantages of the whole store are its good location, which is close to Dongdaemun, the downtown business district, and bars (the bar itself is not open), and it is cheap.
I can only say it's livable, a place where you can take a shower and sleep, but remember to bring your own drinking water.

@@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
