The food they cooked was very delicious, including the chicken soup and the smelly mandarin fish. When we came back from the mountain, the children played in the hot spring for an hour. We loved our stay at Huanghan Lotus. The staff are all very friendly and sweet, and communicative through chat apps even though we do not speak Mandarin. They helped us plan our route up and around the mountain, arranged a taxi for our return, and let us leave our bags here while we travelled up the mountain for a night. When we returned to pick up our bags, we decided to get a massage at the spa and they gave us both half an hour extra. About the room — we were upgraded and the room is gorgeous, beautiful wood and a very comfortable bed and shower etc. The hot spring is also very comfortable, the perfect way to unwind. We will definitely choose this hotel the next time we visit. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very cute with great food. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel driver picked us up from the train and took us right to the entrance, helping us with four bags! They also mapped out a trail for us to go to the Huangshan Mountains, taking us there and back. They have a small hot pool at the lodging with small fishes you can take advantage of as well. It's also within walking distance of Emerald Valley, which is a short (6km) but beautiful hike. This was a nice unexpected surprise that we didn't read about before visiting. We also received a nice gift bag near the end of our stay. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful outdoor swimming pool and loungers. Fresh fruit in room. Friendly local service. Interesting village to potter round with place up the lane “55” serving good coffee and warm cinnamon rolls. Travel was not like this in the 90s. I was upgraded (midweek stay) so amazing value for money for a spotless, stylish room with outdoor seating. 10 minutes from 黄山北站 so super convenient. They contacted me on WeChat and arranged a driver. 15 RMB.

One of my favorite aspects of the hotel was its idyllic location amidst the breathtaking scenery of Yellow Mountain. Waking up to the awe-inspiring views of lush forests and majestic peaks was a truly unforgettable experience. Exploring the nearby trails and enjoying the fresh mountain air served as the perfect tonic for the soul. However, my only disappointment was with the dining options at the hotel. While the food provided within the hotel was of decent quality and showcased local cuisine, it would have been nice to have some alternative dining choices nearby. As the hotel was the only dining option in the immediate vicinity, it limited the opportunities to explore the local food scene.

You can see the mountains in Huangshan, and you can see the water here, but my physical strength cannot support me to go to the Jiulong Waterfall and rafting.
