After careful consideration, we decided to book Baiyun Hotel because of the convenient location to the various spots of sunrise and sunset. We were lucky enough to start our day early and therefore arrived earlier than check-in times. The staff was kind enough to let us into the room at that time and Ms. SONG was the loveliest, as she was constantly taking care of us, including sending us messages through WeChat regarding sunset/sunrise times, suggestions, tips, amenities and shows. (The hotel even had a performance later in the evening). Regarding the rooms, they were quite nice, the hotel even provided thick jackets so that we can be warmer during those early morning trips. What stood out for us was that the bathroom included a Japanese toilet and very nice body lotion. One thing that could be said, is that they were slightly pushy about providing a 5-star review, which they do deserve.

The room is a bit old, which is understandable because it is on the top of a mountain. But the service is very good. The lady is very enthusiastic and answers all your questions. You can watch the sunrise in the room and avoid the cold. If you are naked, you are already invincible.

This was my first visit to the famous Huangshan. My tour agent helped us book the entrance fee, cable car, and electric bus tickets. We needed to show our passports at every entry or boarding point, as the electronic tickets were linked to our passport numbers. The hotel we stayed at is a nice one, located right next to the Yuping cable car. However, be prepared to climb another 15 minutes to reach the hotel. We arrived early at 10 am, so our room was not available yet. We left our small backpacks at the hotel and trekked to the Bright Summit. Along the way, we saw monkeys and passed by the Baiyun Hotel. By the time we returned to Yupinglou Hotel, it was almost evening. The trek was scenic but very tiring, with many stairs. Our kind and helpful host, Yu Jian, from Yupinglou Hotel was in constant contact with us through WeChat and recommended places to visit. This hotel is closest to the Celestial Capital Peak, but I was too tired to climb it the next morning. I highly recommend climbing this peak and will do it if I have the chance to visit again. Overall, it’s a nice hotel to stay in. Don’t expect too many luxuries, as it’s located on top of a rugged mountain. Even the vegetables and food need to be carried by porters to the hotels, which is no easy task.

Although the price is definitely a little high, it makes sense for a hotel situated on top of a mountain. The public areas were bright and spotless. The room I booked was comfortable and mostly clean. The bathroom did have bits of black on the ceiling. Can’t beat the location though, as it’s close to a great spot to watch the sunset/sunrise. Appreciate especially the helpful service and timely communication from Kai at the front desk, who was also kind enough to share his photography of the night sky. I was able to get a few cool shots at a scenic outlook he had recommended. Maybe because I went a little late, but the dinner buffet was pretty mediocre. Overall a very good stay. Would book again, but maybe choose other food options.

Perfect stay in this amazing mountain. The hotel is well located. Staff is really available to make the stay comfortable. Hotel has all services you need, you forget that you are on the top of a mountain with no access by road. Good job to all people who carry all the stuff on their strong shoulders ! Room was clean, very confortable bed. On the morning the hotel organize a sunrise tour and you have a special jacket in your room as it is quite cold in the morning. The food is great with plenty of delicious choices. I highly recommend.

First of all, fairly easy to get to, and the manager will direct you on the routes to take. The day was sunny and we went about to West Canyon. This is a must see and fun. The rest is pedestrian. We went to see the sunset with the hotel. Not much happened. It rained in the morning, so no sunrise tour. However, after the rain was the mist, giving credit to its fame.

This is the third time I have come to Huangshan in 20 years. This is a slightly regretful trip, mainly because I didn't encounter heavy snow and sea of ​​clouds. Fortunately, the experience of staying at Shilin Cliff House still adds a touch of color to this imperfect trip. I had already thought of giving up after looking at the weather forecast, but thinking about the hard-to-book Huaying, I still came to Huangshan. Yungu went up the mountain, walked and strolled, met the housekeeper at Mengbishenghua, and walked into the cliff house from the Qingliang Pavilion path. Pushing open the quaint wooden door to the yard, walking into the rest area converted from the temple, the puppy Beibei couldn't wait to rush to greet me. It is quiet everywhere, surrounded by fragrance, and a scene at every step, which is very pleasant. Take the elevator from the sixth-floor lobby to the second floor, and then take the exclusive elevator of Huaying to the room on the first floor. To be fair, the room is not big, but the view is invincible, and the large terrace has a 180° open view. The whole house is not cold at all, and the afternoon tea is also very special. The breakfast is a set meal, beautiful and exquisite, and sufficient. The only downside is that the noodles feel like they have been soaked in the soup for too long, and the texture is soft and tasteless. The housekeepers are very enthusiastic and always greet each other with a smile. If you have any needs, you can get the service in place with a WeChat message. However, it is recommended to add a device for up and down calls to Huaying's exclusive elevator, otherwise the housekeeper will ring the doorbell upstairs and the downstairs will not be able to respond whether it is suitable for door-to-door service. Shilin Cliff House is located in the Beihai Lion Grove Scenic Area. It takes about ten minutes to get to Monkey Viewing the Sea, which is suitable for watching the sunrise. Then there is Shixin Peak, which is more than 20 minutes on foot. It is not close to Yuping, Guangmingding, etc. Here, you can watch the sunset while eating dinner, lie on the bed to watch the stars, and soak in the bathtub to enjoy the mountain view... It is suitable for travelers who want to lie down and relax instead of walking all over Huangshan. Here, I realized my wish to sit on the bed and take pictures of the nebula, but the sudden thick clouds at four o'clock made the ending a little unsatisfactory. Just one night, I left in a hurry. Perfect stay at J.Mountain for family trip. Available in Trip.com. Our stay period in summer season (consider off peak?). Prior to stay, the staff are very prompt in helpful Q and A. Services are exceedingly good, excellent and accomodating. All staff are friendly, approachable, and careful to details. Sharing local culture and history, and place of interest. Outstanding concierge service. Our stay include Tea appreciation, sumptuous dinner (2 choices), and hearty breakfast (2 choices). We were given complimentary drinks at bar, and alternative dishes to met dietary requirement. Very useful that hotel provide Hotel-Train station transfer. service, and other short distance ride to Huangshan hiking entrance (saved a lot of time). Staff helped us booked our Cableway tickets which saved us time to queue for tickets and avoid buying wrong tickets. Very spacious open concept, clean and modern room and furnishings like king size bed, large Sofa, round Table TV. Balcony with lush tranquillity view of nature full of mountainous greenery and waterfall. Sound of nature (cicada) and fortunately room comes with good sound proofing sliding door. Bath tub, shower area, and WC with build in sensor and biget spray. Standard Amenities are provided. Electric source is China 2-pin 3-pin plug standard and USB. Hotel is located within the Huangshan park (?). Saving us time in getting clearance at Park security office as the Driver brought us through the security checks with ease. We felt like VIP. Hotel is a short drive away to nearest cableway (called ‘hot spring’ cableway etc.). Do bring rain coat as weather up in the mountain is unpredictable. It rained when we reached up at ‘Yuping’ cableway. Hotel staff offered us rain coat. We have a skilful driver to transport us safely form our Hotel-Train station transfer.

The hotel offers pick up and drop off service, one time each to and from the bottom of Huangshan and the hotel, got to contact the hotel and book a slot before hand. The front desk service was excellent. Was well introduced to the hotel amenities and staff offered advice on hiking routes. A wooden hiking stick was offered f.o.c. Great location near the yugu cable car entrance, 5 min walk away. The restaurant offers a wide variety of local Chinese food. The serving size and price is way better than that of Tangkou village. The room is true to the pictures, no cold air conditioning but the room was cooled from the external cold weather. Things are new and clean, though mould spots could be seen on the wall. Free bottled water provided. Hot (plain water) springs available at no extra charge for guests. Swimsuits can be bought on the spot, women's for 100yuan, men's for 50 yuan, if design is not a matter. The dining and hotspring service time was not an issue to us. The hotel also offered pick up service from Hotspring bus station if guests took the yuping cable car down. Had a great time staying in this hotel. Lived up to the price, as compared to older and pricey hotels further up the mountain.
