Mount Hua East Peak Hotel

The overall environment of the hotel, considering its mountain-top location, is quite good. It's very close to East Peak and 'Eagle's Nest'. There are two or three snack shops behind the rooms, so dining is relatively convenient. Room hygiene is acceptable, but water access is a major inconvenience. Not only do the rooms lack private bathrooms, but you have to walk over twenty meters to a public restroom behind the building. There's no sink or faucet in the room either. For washing, you have to go to a small faucet basin on the first floor, and even that has limited water hours. Given these conditions, the price of over a thousand yuan per night is definitely expensive. Besides internet and an electric heater, there are hardly any other facilities; even the TV doesn't work. Service is basically self-service. Accommodation conditions on Huashan's summit really need to learn from the other Four Great Mountains and significantly improve their hardware facilities and service levels.

Hiking to the East Peak, it's a much better experience to rest there for a night. This way, you can conserve energy for watching the sunrise the next morning, and then enjoy activities like the 'Hawk's Turn Over,' the 'Plank Walk in the Sky,' and visiting the South and West Peaks.

This is the most basic level of hygiene. Facilities: It's a basic guesthouse. Service: The service is alright. Environment: The environment is just average, but it's super convenient for watching the sunrise, so the higher price makes sense, and there are very few beds.

This capsule hotel is located near Yingyang Cave. If you're coming from Dongfeng Hotel, you'll need to climb some stairs to get here. It's advisable to have your meal first and then check into your accommodation after coming down from Dongfeng, as they offer freshly prepared dishes, though at mountain-top prices. The capsule itself and the bedding were very clean. After inserting the card, there's a light and you can charge your devices. It was very quiet at night, perfect for resting. For sunrise the next morning, you can head to the entrance of 'Yaozi Fanshen' at Dongfeng Hotel, or to Chaoyang Peak. It's best to go early to secure a good spot. After watching the sunrise, you can either go directly to experience 'Yaozi Fanshen' or have breakfast. There's also a cafe opposite the restaurant that serves freshly ground coffee. A friendly reminder: water is scarce on the mountain, so the capsule hotel doesn't offer showers, but you can wash your face and hands. It's best to book in advance, otherwise, you might encounter higher prices on the day of your stay. Recommended!

I stayed in a 'space capsule' room, which was quite an experience. The hotel is located on the mountaintop and offers 24-hour dining. It's just a 5-minute walk to catch the sunrise, and the 'Yaotzifanshen' (Hawk Flipping Over) attraction is right next door. The food was good too, freshly made to order and reasonably priced. The 'space capsule' itself was excellent – cool, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. I personally found it more comfortable than a regular capsule hotel. Compared to other room types on the mountaintop, this offers much better value for money.

Super convenient! It's only a 10-minute walk to the back mountain to catch the sunrise, and you can meet a lot of fellow travelers there. It's right next to 'Yaozi Fanshen' (Swallow Flip), so after watching the sunrise, you can head straight there without wasting any time. From its location, you can see the Changkong Plank Road opposite, and from the summit, you can even catch the sunset over West Peak and the 'Golden Mountain' effect it casts. I think it's definitely worth it!

I stayed in a capsule room. If you're planning to watch the sunrise from East Peak the next morning, make sure to leave about 40 minutes before sunrise. This gives you enough time to climb to East Peak and find a good spot for photos. Facilities: There are power outlets for charging and running water for washing, although the faucet is outdoors and the water is quite cold. The hygiene was acceptable, and I brought my own disposable sheets. The room had an oil heater, which kept it warm. Don't expect much in terms of service here; it's a decent place just to get some sleep. Remember to bring earplugs! When coming down from the top, be sure to hold onto the handrail to avoid falling (don't ask me why I bumped my leg lol).

The hygiene was so-so; the duvet didn't feel very clean, so I didn't sleep well. Those who are particular about cleanliness should seriously consider this before booking.

The check-in for the capsule pods and the rooms are at Yingyang Cave (at the bottom of East Peak, next to Zhengxin Fried Chicken), not at Yaozifanshen on East Peak itself. **Important Note!** In mid-June, you can't see the sunrise from Yingyang Cave. You'll need to climb to the top of East Peak beforehand. There's a public restroom outside (hygiene is so-so). Inside the courtyard, there's running water and a hot water dispenser. In June, water is continuously available. The room has four capsule pods. I recommend bringing disposable bedding as it can be a bit damp. Definitely bring earplugs and an eye mask. The capsule doors only have two panels and cannot close completely. Inside the pod, the light, ventilation, and power outlet all work fine. Don't expect too much when you're up on the mountain. Overall, I'm satisfied.
