"The location is a short walk to the town centre and sits next to the canal. The room we had was nice clean and tidy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a member of staff called Jorden, who served us at the bar and for breakfast and we would like to say that he was superb, friendly, and had a great attitude towards hospitality. He made our stay very pleasurable and he's a credit to Huddersfield Premier Inn. It's just a shame that Premier Inn nationwide are restricting there bar and eating areas to just residents of the hotel. This in turn is vastly reducing the variety of drinks available at the bar. We're returning customers and will continue to use this hotel in future visits to the area."

Edgerton Hotel

📍 86 New North Road, Huddersfield
★★★ 7.5 (41 reviews)

"The room was spacious and clean. Room was warm and inviting on a cold and wet day. We were in front room so traffic noise could be heard but the road was quiet at night so didn't affect sleeping. Receptionist was friendly at check and check out. Great place to stay if your visiting for business or seeing a concert as we were. Would stay again if ever in Huddersfield."

The Briar Court Hotel

📍 Halifax Rd, Birchencliffe, Huddersfield
★★★ 8.8 (101 reviews)

"Smashing value interconnecting room for a small family or group. 1. Double bed, 2 singles with two bathrooms at a great price. The breakfast was a touch pricey with confusing breakfast arrangements that could be improved and my request for soya milk availability on the booking form was overlooked but there was a very good choice of food on the menu and the staff were all smiley and helpful throughout the hotel."

Manor House Lindley

Manor House Lindley

📍 1 Lidget St, Lindley, Huddersfield
★★★★ 9.2 (66 reviews)

"I went for a second afternoon tea with my husband yesterday to use vouchers I had kindly been given on my retirement. The two afternoon teas (in Aril and June) were absolutely excellent and the cocktails we had to accompany the tea were just wonderful. The service is exceptional. Yesterday George looked after us and was attentive, extremely friendly and professional. 10/10. On the previous occasion Craig was equally friendly and professional and it was very nice that he popped to see us on the second visit, having remembered us. All in all a fabulous experience that I could recommend to everyone."

The Cambridge Hotel

The Cambridge Hotel

📍 4 Clare Hill, Huddersfield
★★★ 8.4 (36 reviews)

"Everything good, room was clean , a decent size and all mod cons. Only issue is there's no bar and although that's perfectly fine, I would have looked elsewhere if I had known as always look forward to a lovely glass of wine after a long drive from down south.. This was my only complaint, otherwise a perfectly nice hotel for the money"

"I stay here regularly. Joan is great and looks after you. Cracking location for the town centre and always spotless inside. Excellent value for money. Rooms have shared toilets, but individual showers, etc. For the price they charge, its spot on."

"Great afternoon tea yesterday. It was served beautifully, with very pleasant staff. It was a lovely atmosphere to the place. The taste of every item on the stand was gorgeous. It's on a level with the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. So we'll done, the Manor House.nwe will be back"

"Spent one night at the Cambridge Hotel Huddersfield for a gig in near by Holmfirth. Cambridge hotel is an easy ten minute walk away from Huddersfield station. Pleasant twin room did the job for myself and a mate. Would stay again if required."

Townhouse No 12 ★★★
"Lovely large old-fashioned rooms, for which you'd normally pay a premium price for a suite. Comfortable mattress, and wonderfully fluffy soft pillows in place of the concrete blocks so often served nowadays. Less than 10 minutes walk from the rail station and only about 45 minutes from York. Excellent value for money, can be half the price of York hotels especially on race days and half term. Cheap municipal car park adjacent. Quiet street. Not en suite but only six rooms, so not much competition for the bathroom - which also had a lovely big bath. (as appreciated by us oldies) Wetherspons (8 min walk) serves food from 8am to 10pm, but you're close to the town centre with no shortage of other places to eat. Plenty of Pennine scenery on the doorstep. But do remember you're not paying for 3-star hotel facilities."
