Wm. Farmer and Sons

Unfortunately, we had the smallest room with the smallest bathroom (Margaret Room). Normally we don't complain but the experience did not start out well. The toilet seat was loose and it just got worse in the evening. We should have let management know right away but we didn't expect it to fall off. The bathroom sink is narrow and "sideways". I suggested they remove the 2" frame from the bathroom mirror so we could bend down and rinse our mouths out instead of splashing water up to our faces. The rug underneath the bed was old and curled up along it's length which created a trip hazard. For these reasons, I rated maintenance as Poor. However, management was as accommodating as they could be. I requested a room change but they didn't have one available for the duration of our stay. They had maintenance fix the toilet seat and remove the rug in the morning. They offered a complimentary meal in their restaurant which we didn't accept because we had eaten there the night before (delicious) and we had other plans. Unfortunately, we were already unhappy with the room so we decided to leave a day early. We received a refund. If it wasn't for the room, our experience would have been terrific. The staff were all very professional and helpful and the rest of the room amenities were wonderful. We especially loved the 3rd floor exterior patio. I would recommend a stay but view and select the room; and have a delicious meal in the restaurant.

The Schooner was a perfect apartment for two adults and a kid, with tons of space and a full kitchen. The staff were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It's a unique set of properties, and the common area was also really great. I would return to this hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable enough, particularly the bed, and a great shower. The staff were great. But, access up two flights of narrow stairs was not the best for us. In fairness, staff did offer to carry our luggage up. I missed the part that said no lift. Also, it was advertised as ‘self parking included’. There wasn’t. We had to find a park on the street. No complaints, merely observations.

My stay was just lovely! Exactly what I was looking for. Everything smelled great, was beautiful to look it and the staff was sweet and accommodating! I’ll be back.

Main hotel building, including the bar and restaurant, were pleasant. Didn't eat, but the drinks were on point. Walls in the annex building, where my "half pint" room was located, are incredibly thin. Although there's a quiet policy (after 11pm as I recall), guests in adjacent rooms were up all night talking and their voices came right through the walls. It was as if we were part of their conversations. Not a minute of sleep. Hotel offered a comp though, some attempt made.

We had a lovely stay. They upgraded our room & we had the most cozy & charming suite. Would absolutely stsy here again.

Unique mini apartment type room in a quiet section of Hudson,NY

Wants to be a boutique hotel but doesn’t have the service or amenities you would expect from one. Something as small as coffee creamer, how do you not offer multiple choices!?

So beautifully preserved building. We had a beautiful room with sitting area overlooking the front of the hotel. Very easy to get to main streets and riverside. Restaurant was wonderful.
