Garden Playanatural - Adults Only

I would 100% recommend this hotel, we went on honeymoon for a week, It was also my husbands birthday during our stay and the staff sneaked a bottle of Prosecco in our room which was a nice surprise. There's always plenty of choice for food at the restaurant, it only opens for breakfast, dinner and an evening meal, all are serve yourself so you get what you like. All unlimited. The poolside bar serves burgers and hotdogs with chips 1-3pm and cheese and ham toasties with crisps 4-5pm. They serve cold drinks, wine and spirits until 7pm. The bar below the poolside bar opens at 7pm serving drinks and crisps. There's always food and drinks, plenty of choice too! Staff are always happy and pleased to serve (I will add if you're all inclusive, only 2 alcoholic drinks at a time, just means going up again lol. The staff really try and get you involved in activities unless you want a chilled time, they soon get to know who wants to. The aqua aerobics instructor's are amazing, how they dance like that for that long in that heat is unbelievable. They also play poolside bingo plus loads of other activities. The second pool is deeper and on the lower level, not as busy there, depends if you want to be in the quieter area. The room was lovely and clean, the beds and towels were changed daily (if you don't want/need room service there's a tag on your door to display this). There's a corner shop 5 mins away and beach 10 mins away. Great place, great location. Please ignore the negative reviews, don't let them put you off. Get early flights so you arrive in the day/evening. We will be going back, can't wait. Thank you all at Garden Playanatural, see you soon!

Our first time here and we didn't want it to end. Everything was beautiful, from the rooms to the views. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and they go above and beyond to make your stay special. There is lots to do in the day and evening from the fantastic entertainment team, i espically enjoyed the origami towel activity and aquafit was great fun. The food was on another level, with lots of choice and fantastic desserts. The harbour is about a 10 min walk were you can enjoy the local culture and have a drink/meal on the beach. I will hopefully visit this lovely hotel again one day. Thank you all for making my holiday a dream come true.

Outstanding hotel with outstanding staff. Stayed in room 1224 superior room with part sea view. The hotel itself is a little out of town, 3.2 k to be exact but suited both of us as we like to walk but there is a bus nearby. The hotel is cleaned to a very high standard and room service is every day. The staff go above and beyond and all of them have a smile on their faces which suggests to me that they love their work and nothing was too much of a bother for them. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The town itself is well catered and we were very lucky to come when there was a festival which was a bonus.

Really beautiful and peaceful hotel out of the way of everything If you have a bit of extra money, book a private taxi, as the drive from Faro airport will be very long if you are on a coach stopping at other hotels The staff are so hard working and very nice, especially the experience team The entertainment was a little questionable at times, but I would give ~anything~ to experience the Sketch Show for the first time again The food is a little repetitive but overall good, and the restaurant staff were lovely (especially Antonio and Lucia, I think their names were?). There is an ourdoor cafe/restaurant area, but you will have to pay extra for most of the food there, even if you are all inclusive The rooms are spacious and well maintained, although could do with slightly better lighting as I found they were a bit dingy in the evenings The pools are big and clean but could do with a little refreshing as some of the tiles have fallen off. Plenty of sunloungers, but prepare to pay 20€ a day for a Bali bed (comes with a bottle of Cava) The beach is not too far from the hotel, but you have to walk through the woods (and what looks like a graveyard??) and under the road. You can either stay at the first beach, where there are lifeguards and there's a beach bar, or you can take the boat across to Flecha del Huelva. Tickets can be collected at reception. The boat runs there every half hour at quarter past and quarter to, and comes back every half hour on the hour and half past. The boat DOES NOT run between I believe 14.30 and 16.30. There is not much shade, no lifeguards and no amenities, so go prepared As for shops, there is a small supermarket at the bottom of the hill, about a five minute walk, and a small shop within the hotel. If you want anything more, you will have to go in to El Rompido which is about a 40 minute walk Overall, a fantastic hotel and I will definitely be returning should I get the chance

On arrival we were checked in without delay and our room was ready early. We upgraded on booking a sea view and this certainly didn’t disappoint overlooking pools river and see. Only thing was the room was directly above the evening entertainment which we read was noisy. As we tend to not stay up late we asked at reception if there was a different room away from entertainment but still with a sea view. They immediately found us the only other room available which was a bigger one and was just perfect. We spoke to others who were above the entertainment that did say it wasn’t a problem anyway. The hotel all round was very clean. Food plentiful (we were AI) Spanish night in particular was excellent. All the staff work very hard and found so friendly. Although not the height of season and did get busy at times you could always find plenty of beds to choose from around the pool. No towels needed to reserve!! The location is beautiful and quite with miles of beach along the river and the ferry to the island was free every day if you were AI it feels like you have an island to yourself. We found guests at the hotel were mixture of old and young (no children ) and very friendly joining in with all the activities and entertainment. I couldn’t fault this hotel if it lacks in any way it certainly makes up for it in many ways.

We visited the hotel at the beginning of October. I’d been anxious about negative reviews but our experience was generally good. All members of staff were helpful and polite and we had no real issues. We were allocated a room at the side of the hotel with a pleasant view of the trees and the sea in the distance. We were not charged for a sea view. The hotel is very well kept and our room was clean and comfortable with a huge bed and lots of space. Food was generally good - a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner (we were on an AI rate). We didn’t try the pool bar for lunch as there were limited choices. Wine selection for AI was very poor. We diluted with sparkling water! Only one wine allowed of red, rose and white. No Cava in restaurant although allowed in bar or by the pool. Odd! Our pre dinner g and ts in the bar were fine. Entertainment was very hit and miss. The Soul evening was excellent but some of the offerings by the entertainment team fell short of enjoyable. Swimming pools were huge and great to swim once you got over the slight chill. Not many people used the pools for swimming! Loads of sun beds but they are not very comfortable and many need replacing. We used a cushion which helped a bit. The hotel is in a lovely setting but is very remote. We had a car so this wasn’t a problem for us - we visited the local town - El Rompido - which has a great nature walk from the car park by the lighthouse. Also recommend a trip to Ayamonte. A good value holiday and we were blessed with amazing weather.

The place was clean and tidy. The only issue is that we had paper cups for coffee and tea in the room and there was no replenishment of coffee and tea asked the cleaner and was told you have coffee and tea the first day as a present. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I went to the front desk with no problems in giving coffee and tea. Makes you think about why the cleaner doesn't leave replenishment of coffee and tea in the room. Maybe the cleaner saves all the tea and coffee to take home for themselves.
