Hotel is located in the mountain of taihangshan 太行山，10 minute walk from the entrance of the tourist attraction. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they knew the area extremely well. Mountain hike including cable car takes about 3 hours. Beautiful mountain yet absolutely massive, needs a few days to cover other parts of the mountain. Restaurants are also located next to the hotel, very traditional local food. Travel during the weekdays, DO NOT travel on the weekend, it wll be extremely packed and uncomfortable believe me!
Foreigners in China, this hotel accepts foreigners with a chinese ONLY. BUT do not come here from a high risk area and make sure you have a covid test to prove. Apparently I was the first foreigner to enter this mountain, so I had to deal with police registration, daily covid tests and panick of a foreigner entering the area, be ready for that. Also be prepared to get a ton of stares and comments, seems like people here have never seen a foreigner before 😂 Enjoy.
