Dusit Thani Sandalwoods Resort Shuangyue Bay Huizhou

This Thai-style resort in Huizhou Shuangyue Bay offers an excellent experience. It boasts a private beachfront right outside, and the infinity pool on the 31st floor provides breathtaking panoramic views, perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious, and the balcony features a scenic bathtub, making it incredibly relaxing to lie back and watch the sunrise over the ocean. The water park and children's water fort are well-equipped, making it a one-stop destination for family fun. The front desk service is attentive, and the breakfast offers a wide variety, with the Thai-flavored dishes being particularly distinctive. However, the sand on the beach is indeed a bit coarse.

Huge thanks to Xiaoli at the front desk for her excellent service! She upgraded our room to a super spacious family suite for free, and the sea view was absolutely stunning! All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly. The pool park definitely lived up to its reputation – it's a fantastic spot for photos when the weather is good!

This is our third time here, and the environment is still so comfortable! The terrace faces the sea directly, which is incredibly relaxing. The kids absolutely love their pool with all the fun activities. We definitely have to come back one more time before school starts next month!

If you value your stay experience, I'd suggest avoiding this hotel. There are two rather significant issues: First, the elevators. Out of the four elevators leading to the rooms, only three were working; one was constantly under maintenance, and I have no idea how long it's been like that. The other three elevators had poor ventilation and were extremely stuffy. Especially now during peak summer holiday season, with so many guests, you have to wait a very long time during peak hours like breakfast, dinner, check-in, and check-out. Second, room hygiene and condition. The room was very old, and the cleanliness was subpar. The hotel provided bath towels that were a dark reddish-brown, which immediately made them look dirty, making it impossible to tell if they had been properly cleaned. The toilet wasn't thoroughly cleaned either. The room's desk and walls were very old, with visible mold stains…

The buffet had a wide variety of dishes and the service was excellent. 👍👍 It's perfect for a swimming holiday with kids, very comfortable for family travel. The only downside was that the changing rooms by the cruise ship pool were dirty and had a strong odor. I hope the hotel can improve this.

This is our third consecutive year visiting Shuangyue Bay, and our third year staying at this hotel! When booking, I requested a complimentary fruit platter upon check-in, which they happily provided – a very friendly and thoughtful gesture. The lovely lady at the front desk even gave me an extra fruit voucher. This hotel is perfect for family vacations. It's our third year, and my kids are still having a blast! A truly great experience!

The room was spacious, and check-in was a breeze. With a swimming pool and beach access, it's perfect for families. Breakfast service was excellent.

This hotel is excellent! Xiao Ye at the front desk was incredibly attentive and thorough. She walked us through all the hotel's activities and facilities, even upgraded us to a high-floor, sea-view family room, and threw in an extra breakfast. We had so much fun swimming; there are just so many pools!

The two-bedroom suite was incredibly spacious and fantastic! The hotel facilities are exceptionally comprehensive, with each pool having its own unique charm. There's something for everyone, adults and kids alike, and you could easily spend several days here without repeating activities. It was truly excellent, and I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit Shuangyue Bay!
