Banyan Tree's Huju Xisai Mountain Hotel in Huzhou is truly a hidden gem for a secluded getaway in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region. Nestled by mountains and water, the hotel's new Chinese-style courtyards with mirrored water features blend Zen tranquility with Jiangnan aesthetics, making every photo a masterpiece. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a private balcony offering direct views of the mountains and lake. The bedding is soft, and the smart amenities are comprehensive, with thoughtful details throughout. Breakfast offers a good mix of Chinese and Western options, with authentic local snacks, while lunch and dinner feature fresh lake and mountain delicacies. The service is warm and attentive, with shuttle buses available on demand. Facilities are abundant, including a kids' club, outdoor pool, bamboo forest boardwalk, and tea space, making it suitable for both families and leisure travelers. It's a peaceful and healing escape from the hustle and bustle – I'll definitely be back!

Most rooms are split-level, with the upper floor offering lake views. It's very quiet and private. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are well-maintained, and the landscaping is meticulously cared for. The service is warm and friendly, and the food is also quite good. The hotel is conveniently located right on the Luyu Ancient Trail, so you can start hiking as soon as you step outside. There's a 10-kilometer grand loop with a 290-meter elevation gain, and most sections are paved, making it a great option for those who enjoy light hiking.

We took our family on a trip to Huzhou. After much deliberation, we booked the Xisai Mountain Hongju Hotel. We stayed for three days and two nights, and everyone was very satisfied. The hotel is located in the Xisai Mountain area, and the environment is beautiful. The morning air was incredibly fresh. We were also quite satisfied with the cleanliness of the room; we checked it carefully and didn't see any dirty spots. We brought a small dog, and the room even had a bed and a cute pet bowl – very thoughtful! Pet cleaning supplies are also provided. The breakfast selection was quite extensive. The noodles and glutinous rice balls were delicious! The watermelon was incredibly sweet. They had almost everything from Chinese to Western dishes. Oh, and they even had jianbing (Chinese crepes)! A special thank you to Lily for her comprehensive care. We hope to have the opportunity to go again next time. Ordering takeout from the hotel was very convenient, which is definitely a plus.

Our last stop for the National Day holiday was the Xisai Mountain Hongju Hotel, which we booked at the last minute. Having stayed at several Banyan Tree hotels before, we were impressed by the excellent service here! Even with the high occupancy rate during the National Day holiday, our butler, Olivia, still managed to upgrade us to a family room. When the kids borrowed fishing rods, a staff member was incredibly helpful and provided excellent guidance. The WeChat service was also exceptionally prompt and responsive. The hotel environment was fantastic, perfect for those seeking a relaxed and leisurely vacation.

Looking for a place to relax in Xisai Mountain, I chose Hongju Hotel. The moment I stepped inside, I was amazed by its design, nestled amidst the mountains and water. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offered views of rolling green hills, a babbling brook flowed through the courtyard, and even the corridors exuded the elegance of Jiangnan, as if bringing the idyllic scene of "white egrets flying before Xisai Mountain" into my stay. The butler, Annie, was also very attentive, informing me of the National Day activities in advance and always available when needed. Every snapshot was a wallpaper-worthy scene. My room was upgraded to a Love Nest Residence, with a quiet courtyard where I could get a good night's sleep. The bedding was incredibly comfortable—a rare find that even my back felt relaxed. Even the toiletries were from a niche brand with a subtle herbal scent, and the hairdryer was a Dyson China Red. The makeup mirror had a thoughtfully designed fill light function. It was even more comfortable than home. I would definitely consider staying here again.

We booked a family room, which was a suite and quite spacious. There was a small courtyard outside the room, but because it faced north, there were no outdoor tables and chairs, which was a bit of a waste. The hotel is pet-friendly, and the area is large enough for dog walking. Even during the holidays, it didn't feel crowded, and the room was very quiet. It's suitable for families who prefer a quiet environment and have dogs.

Facilities: The lobby is tiny, and the rooms look like leftover units from a new apartment building. Service: Forget about service; there's practically none. There's no receptionist or luggage handler in the lobby, and no one helps you with your luggage at the buffet. Find a seat yourself. Can you believe this is a Banyan Tree hotel? It feels like a makeshift setup in a village, just draped in the Banyan Tree name. Be cautious; be wary of hotels heavily recommended by bloggers.
