We stayed in a little hut which was very cosy and warm even though it was quite cold outside. The hut was equipped with hot water, stove, water boiler and cutlery. Unfortunately no oven but that was totally fine. The location was perfect: a few minutes drive outside Hvollsvollür. Would totally stay there again <3

It wasn't a very successful stay. One of the beds wasn't very clean. The room is small. The microwave wasn't working. Parking is very easy. The contact with nature was very nice. We paid 203€ for a triple room. This rate does not include any meals.

When we first arrived we were very excited to find out what are cabins would look like. We had about a 5 minut walk down to our cabin and when we arrived we were surprised. Although we expected the rooms to be bigger. We enjoyed our stay as it was a reasonable size for 4 people. We had a good sized fridge, 2 hobs for cooking, utensils, plates, cups a microwave and toaster. The shower was quite small however it had great pressure and was easy to get a right temperature. Only complaint would be the window was right over the toilet and it wasn’t blurred The ladder on the bunk bed should have been screwed in as someone stole it when climbing through our window (it was a school friend) The food was really good and we had different options each night. There was a lot of options and we even got a sandwich for lunch. The best but overall was getting to run around and have fun in the feilds without worrying we’re making to much noise. In the end we sat in the field on chairs admiring the northern lights. When they are out you get a spectacular view and can easily sit in the field or on your porch taking in the views Honestly one of the best places I have stayed would defenately recommend.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your mountain cottage. As the most expensive accommodation of our week's holiday, I had high hopes and was eagerly anticipating a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, I regret to inform you that the experience was anything but pleasant. Firstly, the cottage (no 8) was in a state of disrepair, with broken glass and a board of wood hastily hammered onto the front door. The interior was equally disappointing, with a dirty and dusty atmosphere that suggested that it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The cottage smelt old and felt cramped, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and cramped during our stay. Additionally, the bath towel provided was the size of a hand towel, and there was no bathmat or hand towels left for us to use. These small amenities are essential for a comfortable stay and their absence made our experience even more unpleasant. The walls were dirty with dust and grime, light switches were dirty, stains and dirt on radiators. Chipped crockery. Old, torn and ripped blinds. No door on the bedroom. Overall, I must say that the cottage was not worth the £150 per night that we paid. It was far from the charming and cozy mountain retreat that we had envisioned. The only positive aspect of our stay was that the cottage was warm and had hot water. I understand that issues can arise, but I hope that you will take our feedback seriously and take steps to improve the quality of your accommodations. I also hope that you will take action to address the problems we encountered.

Stayed here as a couple, and it was a nice quaint experience theoretically - it was very quiet and had quite a cosy feel to it, staff were nice and food was available if wanted. The ‘cottage’ itself was lacking - the shower was only suitable for anyone under about 5’4 and the bathroom a very tight squeeze. It was advertised as self catering however, there wasn’t a fridge or microwave, hob etc - only a kettle - so a lot of food was wasted that we bought. If you have planned to eat somewhere/eat at the restaurant on site then you would be okay but should be advertised as something other than it is currently.

My boyfriend's favorite place! We got a cottage, complete with a kitchen. The shower was nice, the beds were comfy and we were able to do laundry. It was a little quaint for my tastes. The breakfast was lovely, standard Icelandic servings. Would stay again if only to hike on the grounds.

Horrible, small, old and dirty cottage. The worst accommodation after 10 days of road trip in Iceland. Too hot, without opening windows and without any service. Furthermore, the photos are misleading: what they show absolutely does not correspond to reality. One night here is too much (I am writing this review from the accommodation in question)
