This must be one of the best places to stay in Bavarian. Everything from the welcome on arrival to leaving was a great experience. Rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean. The mountain views are awesome. The restaurant was always busy because of great quality and service. The veal chop was the high spot! A great place in every way.

Smart family run hotel in an enviable country village with the S-Bahn across the road for a 25 minute trip to central Munich. Whats not to like? Nothing. The staff are competent and pleasant being overseen by the owner. There is a great restaurant and good breakfasts are served overlooking the mountains. The rooms are modern and comfortable with those at the back having small balconies. At the front there is a little road noise. The overall decor is modern and this is somewhere you could stay for a week and still be enjoying it. There are plenty of places to relax outside your room including a large terrace. Personal service is assured as there is not a large number of rooms. Other facilities include a sauna and parking round the back. If you are feeling energetic there is a walk to Wolfratshausen along the river and you can get the S-bahn back. Opposite, recently opened, is a supermarket. Interestingly the architecture fits into the village well. It contains a cafe and a large selection of high quality food. I can't wait for my next visit.

We booked 3 rooms at the Landhotel. The night before one guest had to cancel. Reception was very understanding and we only had to pay for it there. after that we loved the place and coem again for nxt our days.

The room is comfortable, the view is nice and calm. Besides having one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had in my life, the service at this hotel is something special. Before flying home on a Saturday morning, I had no place to print the COVID PCR test result I just received at 20h00. So I asked the reception if they could print the document for me. They took care of it and delivered the document to me while I was having dinner 1h later. I later found out there was an issue with their network and computers. The reception lady had driven home to print the document for me on her own printer and came back.

We can recommend the Klostermaier in Icking. Hotel Clean Nice restaurant area Nice terrace 1-2 E car charging stations (wall boxes for hotel guests, approx. 50 cents/kwh) 4 E trekking bikes available for hire Sufficient parking spaces, protected in the rear area Rooms Renovated and clean Rooms with long balconies. There is enough space for a small table and two chairs and a great view 2 bottles of water (this is standard these days, but since some people would rather do without them, I would like to mention it explicitly here) Prija toiletries, from Italy. Sustainable and smell very good Breakfast Very, very good. Egg dishes on a small but fine menu. Homemade granola, etc. (only the roasted beans didn't convince us, but we're very picky about that.) Sauna Everything you need 2 saunas and a steam bath. Quiet area, also outside Very well maintained and everything clean Location Although it is about 40 minutes by bike from Lake Starnberg and it is sometimes steep (at least if you have already cycled along the lake for 6 hours) Very nicely located for using the Isar Valley Cycle Path to Munich Rewe 5 minutes away, for small drinks purchases S-Bahn stop 5 minutes away One star less, because at 160 euros it is a bit expensive outside of Munich. But as I wrote, the above points make up for it..
