This is one of the best homestay….Very friendly and helpful host….The rooms are clean and spacious….Beautiful view of the forest from the balcony of the hotel….During our stay, we sighted Gaur , Sambar deer and Wild boar from our balcony…..They provide a simple, tasty vegetarian breakfast….The homestay is located on the main road….There are nearby restaurants…Parking is available….. Tip —- ( Room Number 5 is the best room with a view )

The homestay is located in a very good location just near the Periyar National Park. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained with all necessary amenities, private balcony and common place in front of the room for dining. The view of forest from the balcony is just amazing which will make you feel very close to the nature. Lots of restraunts and small shops are just a few mins walk from stay. The rooms are soo well maintained by the owner Mr. Rajesh Ji and his family. Overall Great hospitality and amazing service, highly recommend.

Awesome proximity to all the activities. Nice and peaceful view. Recommended stay in Thekady. Host was very kind and considerate of all our needs. Enjoyed overall. We had kids ***** with us and the stay was perfect.

The Jungle Palace may well be my favorite hotel in all of India. The view from the lanai is an ever- changing kaleidoscope of wild life. One can enjoy a cup of tea while sitting in one of the hanging " basket" swings as a parade of birds and mammals pass by between the hotel and the jungle. It is located very near Periyar National Park and the associated animal and tribal offerings. A variety of restaurants and small shops are easily reached out the front/ street side of the hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and the included breakfast was brought to the room at a time chosen by the guest. The large bed was very, very comfortable and actually had upper and bottom sheets as well as a cozy blanket. The room and common areas are very clean. Even though it is rated as a two star property, I would prefer it to far more expensive properties. Plan to stay more than one night, as there are many things to do and experience. It is also the perfect place to just RELAX for a few days...read, enjoy the views, and kick back in a very comfortable setting.

This was our second stay at Jungle palace. The rooms are spacious, toilets are clean, View is second to none and reasonable room rates. We thank Rajesh ji for his hospitality and we are considering to visit Again and stay at Jungle palace Thekkedy.

This guy Rajesh is a great host .he provided good tea to accommodation to electric car charging to guiding us to all. Clean rooms back side you can almost touch the forest..nominal rent ..great place .

Stayed in the jungle palace homestay for one night with my family. The rooms and the bathroom are quite spacious and clean. It has a common balcony with great jungle view. The breakfast provided was very good. It was my first homestay experience and there was nothing to regret. Thanks to Rajesh and family.

This a simple no-nonsense place. The room is spacious and you get hot water on demand. It has a view of the forest. In October we could see autumn colors on the trees. We could spot the malabar squirrel, mongoose and wild boars. There was a few sambar deer on the first evening but they were far away. Only problem is they dont have breakfast but they have great restaurants nearby. The Periyar Tiger Reserve is 5 min walk away. The shuttle bus parking spot is half a kilometer away. Overall excellent budget accomodation
