Coffee and Pepper Plantation Homestay

One of the best, clean place we have ever stayed. Best hospitality and food. George is taking care of the plantation he guided us so well in finding the location and also in all arrangements

We loved our stay at coffee and pepper George was the most perfect host. The tour of the garden and very informative. The room was spotless with views to die for we stayed in ***go. Location is great just a short tuc tuc into town. George is happy to organise trips and transport which really helps. Food and beverage excellent all lovely home cooked food by mum. If we ever pass this way again we will definitely stay again. Once again Thank you Coffee and Pepper

We had planned our Kerala trip and one of our friends refer this home stay, when we reached in noon we were welcome by George himself and helped us to carry our luggage upstairs. It has 4 rooms at the moment we were allotted ***go room which was facing the entry of the home stay with beautiful trees outside our window and beautiful lotus plant. our son liked it so much that he wants to visit again. its very close to market and house is well maintained and clean , have clean linen and good clean bathrooms. we enjoyed the breakfast, as we are pure vegetarian we had called several time and asked them for pure veg BF. It was prepared by George mother is was very tasty and hot. Our room was nice, clean and with a balcony with a nice view. Bathroom is also nice big, clean and with hot shower. Hotel have a nice spice plantation and owner arrange a visit for all guests. We stayed 3 nights This is a homestay/B&B where the property has 4 rooms on the second floor, the first (ground) being occupied by owners. The rooms are very large, modern and nice with a great view of the spice garden. The owner is very happy to give a tour of the garden. There was a delicious box of home made cookies in the room as a complimentary amenity. Location was amazing and easy to access from kumily/ Thekkady. Close to Periyar tiger reserve. Aesthetics were suble yet sophisticated and beautiful. Gorgeous collection and arrangements of plants and flowers Mr. George Mathew) was extremely helpful in every way possible, suggesting places to visit. In short, one of our best homestay experiences and one we are looking forward to visit again and again ! Already recommended to few of our neighbor's and family and friends. Very well maintained property. A lot of detail has gone into making sure every nook and corner is clean. Great hosts. Food is also good. Ease of access from main highway. Sufficient garden and backyard to walk around. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Nice place in the middle of tea plantation. Our room was nice, clean and with a balcony with a nice view. Bathroom is also nice big, clean and with hot shower. Hotel have a nice spice plantation and owner arrange a visit for all guests. We stayed 3 nights and we eat at the hotel: food was good at a reasonable price. Negative point are that the hotel is at 20 minutes from Kumily, it remain ***ageable (150 inr by rickshaw) It is not possible to have early breakfast (before 7h30) as most of the people (the foreigners at least) come for trekking in periyar national park which start at 8h00 at reserve gate it is never possible to enjoy breakfast. During our 3 nights stayed the room was never cleaned and towels never changed. We never ask for but in this kind of hotel we expect the room cleaned without having to ask.

What an absolutely fabulous home stay! I can’t praise this property enough. We had 2 nights here and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The bedrooms are fabulous, with amazing views! We ate here both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. If you are visiting Thekkady, then I highly recommend you stay here. A car is required though. A gem of a home stay.

Beautiful homestay property in spectacular surroundings. Fabulous room which looked over the plantation. Food all home-cooked and very good. Taken on a tour of the garden grounds seeing all the different plants and learning about how they are grown and used was a particular highlight of our stay.
