Blossom Hill Munnar

The hotel is set on the hillside at the end of a dirt road. It is quite remote from other amenities so you will dine at their restaurant. Dinner is served at 8 pm only. Food was pretty good although menu options were limited (out of certain items). The setting is beautiful but the hotel interiors and furnishings would benefit from some attention to bring the entire hotel from good to great such as upgraded decor and linens. Rooms are up a steep hill; you can walk up or get a jeep ride. Kind staff. Pool was open but needed some maintenance as it had a lot of debris floating in it and was a little cloudy. Had traveled with 2 families and 5 kids - The view from the rooms is amazing and the rooms are also nice and spacious. So that's the good part and that's the only good part Issues with this places - The location is very far from the center and the points so you waste minimum of 2 hrs while traveling to and fro - There is nothing nearby, no shops, restaurants etc so if you want something in emergency there is nothing available - In case of any medical emergency, not sure whether the person will survive as the calls on the reception go unanswered most of the times and the staff leaves the place after dinner time and stay at a place which is outside the hotel. Not sure if the guest/ patient will survive if immediate medical services are needed - The location is at a steep hill and you have to take a jeep to go to the rooms - The restaurant is downstairs and you gasp for breath if you come down and then go up. Real struggle for senior citizens and kids, slippery and dangerous during monsoon - Had taken 2 rooms and the there was no phone in one of the rooms, the phone which was there had very low volume - You get threatened by the staff to place the order for food in advance, dinner by 8 pm - Breakfast buffet is a joke, you get hardly anything, forget about the taste - Requested to change the linen, wasnt done - Staff isnt bothered to give service to the guests - Wifi was very weak - Hot water wasnt really hot - TV was for the namesake hardly any channels, had a tough with kids as they wanted to watch cartoon. These people take so much of money but not offering anything worth it - So overall a pathetic experience, spoiling the name of Munnar & Kerala - Really surprised to see so ***y positive reviews for this place, Im sure must be fake and by insiders
