Americas Best Value Inn Kansas City East/Independence

This isn't bad at all for the price. The floors and toilet were clean, and there was a pleasant scent. I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.

cockroaches are everywhere in the room.

Parking was crowded, laundry facilities "out of order" room was seriously lacking in any kind of care and attention, bathroom door falling off, breakfast juice cooler and otgrr appliances also out of order, night cleark was rude, and condescending

Room was filled with roaches I wasn’t in for nomore than 1 hour when noticed them on the fridge crawling out the microwave and in the sink they refused me my refund and I have videos

My bathtub was still dirty. The toilet barely flushed and I didn't have any light bulbs in my lamp. It did get taken care of. I think house keeping should check those things

First they gave me a room that had the wall paneling falling off. Then the lamp lights were red and I’m wondering who can see with those on or why they were red also the room smelled really bad. I asked to move rooms and we did. This next room had burn holes through the sheets and had 1 white light and 1 blue light. A little better but definitely the pictures are deceiving. Young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating Housekeeping does a good job with the cleaning just wish there were more food options

Everything was neglected and workers were nice but didn't help with anything

When we arrived at the property I was concerned. The outside of the building looked very rough and the building seemed to be on the edge of a rougher area judging by other parking lots/ buildings having fences and bars. The main lobby was also kind of dirty. However, when we got up to our room we were pleased with how the rooms looked. This property isn’t going to knock your socks off but I would be willing to stay here again.
