1) NOT 24-HOUR SHUTTLE SERVICE! We booked this Holiday Inn Indianapolis Airport Hotel specifically because it had 24-hour airport shuttle service. However, when we arrived at Midnight, we learned they don't have any service between Midnight and 4:15 am. Since our flight was at 5:30 am this was too late to wait for it, so we had to pay $20 to Uber to get to the airport 10 minutes away! It feels like bait and switch. Also, since this was a non-cancellable rate, we had no choice but to stay her for the 3 hours or so before we needed to head to the airport.
2) The first room we were given turned out to be already occupied. So, we returned to the front desk, was told this had been an issue by another customer booking rooms without entering them into their electronic system. So, she went to check other possible rooms, and the next one was also already occupied! The 3rd one she tried was available and that's the one we used.
3) The 2 elevators are only intermittently working the last 2 days we learned and we nearly were stuck in one which would go up to the 2nd floor but return to the 1st floor without opening or jerking a little up and then reopening. Another guest told us the other one the day before also acted like that.
4) The light switch o n one end table was broken so light was not usable.
5) The show a QR Code in the elevator as well as on a cardboard sign in the room to let them know of "Complement or Concern Please Scan below." However, when scanned an error message says: "This QR Code has been deactivated for some reason." So, unable to reach management to let them know concurrently about all of these issues above.
6) While the hotel inside as well as our room seemed very modern and up to date, these several service issues are very surprising and unexpected for an IHG Holiday Inn property in which a couple of their tag lines is "The best surprise is no surprise" and "Relax, it's Holiday Inn."
