The Argyle on Mass Ave

The maintenance guys came into the apartment close to midnight implying that we had caused a leak in the restaurant below because my son had taken a bath. Turned out when they came back the next day, the seal on the overflow was broken. The stay was good, however this incident was a little disturbing.

We were satisfied, but the Argyle definitely is not for everbody. We had a cute second floor, one bedroom unit. It was clean and had a nice street view. But this may have been the noisiest room that I've stayed in a long time. The unit was on a main artery with traffic all night long, including frequent emergency vehicles. Also, the hvac unit was between the living area and the bedroom. But perhaps worst of all was the bathroom exhaust fan which sounded much like a vacuum cleaner when in use, which was necessary to keep the light on. Finally, the television remote worked very,very poorly, rendering rhe TV almost impossible to use. But honestly, we're not all that bothered by noise, and never felt unsafe in our unit or the neighborhood. We were grateful to find a unit so close to the center of the city, and would probably stay there again.

Loved the area and the building. Very close to cool, non touristy, shops and restaurants and the building has a cool vibe. Free laundry in the basement is a plus, but the washer and dryer have seen better days and someone left some bleach in the washer which ruined a shirt. Unit gets lots of sunlight, but hard to sleep in if you’re not a morning person. And it’s right off a busy street so it’s loud. There’s an odd smell when you enter the unit but it might just be new carpeting. Bedding and pillows are average, towels were good.

No staff, nice and easy check in. I texted check out to the number and didn’t get any sort of confirmation it was received. A bit concerning but other than that it was great!

Me and my family enjoyed the location with alot of surrounding places to eat sit in end of street park or courtyard. Internet work weel with all of devices. Bed was cimfotable with plenty of closet space. Parking on street is safe. Building is quiet and has free laundry. Definitely a restay as they are refreshing apartments and will definitely stay again.

Great location for convenience of dining options and to downtown, but night time bar scene and traffic made it very hard to sleep. No curtains also made it hard to sleep with streetlights coming through and nothing to muffle the noise from outside. Room needs deep cleaned.

Cute apartment very close to lots of dining options in a walkable neighborhood. Decent amount of street noise an very little counter space for the morning products and appliance routine, but otherwise a great place to stay for the price

This was a great place to stay! The location was perfect for me. There is a market about a block down if you forgot something, like I did. I did read reviews before I booked, and it did say it could get noisy at night, and that is true. It didn't bother me, but keep that in mind if you do book this stay. I stayed in at night, but the location seemed to be the place to be at if you wanted a little night life action. The place was very clean. 10 out of 10.

Room was clean, beds were clean, bathroom was clean. The only issue was the heat. The furnace would only stay lit for about 5 seconds (you could clearly hear and see the ignition and flames) and the room never got warmer than 62 degrees, no matter what the thermostat setting. It just felt cold.
