"Recently I stayed 3 night at the Xiamen airline lakeside, 金雁 hotel during my travel from Boston to Xiamen. I’d like to thank to 吴欣汝(Wu XinYu) who helped me arrange from beginning to end during my stay. She has arranged airport pickup, provided me with clear directions on the places I like to visit, make sure my stay at the hotel is comfortable, daily update of 10-11 PM snacks menu, and airport drop off. With her assistance, I had extremely pleasant stay in Xiamen. This hotel is designed very well; intuitively clear and easier to moving around. The room is super clean and staffs are very polite, attentive and ready to provide assistance if needed.
I will stay again when I visit to Xiamen next time.
Bonus, behind the hotel is a lake and walk paths around the lake."

"Facilities: The room facilities were fine and quite new. There were one or two small flying insects, which could be easily resolved with mosquito repellent.
Cleanliness: Cleanliness was good, and the facilities felt new.
Ambiance: The overall environment felt more like a mini-resort.
Service: Regarding service, I believe that when staff know a guest is about to check out, they shouldn't overreact or make a fuss. I picked up a drink from the lobby bar; there was no sign indicating if it was exclusively for in-house guests. As I was about to open it, two female staff members rushed over and snatched the drink from me as if I were stealing money, leaving a puddle of water behind.
I feel my review is quite objective. The hotel itself is new. However, this is the first time I've witnessed a five-star hotel behaving in such a manner over a drink worth only 3 RMB. I'm quite speechless. I hope you either clarify your policies or provide more comprehensive training for your staff."

The superficial service was acceptable, but when issues arose, they failed to address them from a guest's perspective. There was nothing particularly noteworthy. However, the Chinese restaurant's dinner service was a major letdown; it couldn't keep up, with clear signs of undertraining, likely a result of cost-cutting.
## Cleanliness
Initially, the upgraded room we were assigned had a very strong, pungent toilet odor. However, the room change was handled very promptly.
## Facilities
The bathroom and shower doors were adjusted too tightly, causing them to slam shut with a jarring noise. On our first night, guests upstairs repeatedly slammed their doors for about twenty minutes past 11 PM. The noise was perfectly audible in our room. Fortunately, our child was already asleep; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to sleep at all. This might also be related to guests' habits, as they likely didn't realize it would disturb others on adjacent floors. Overall, from checking in on the first night until bedtime, our initial positive impression of the hotel was significantly marred."

"Environment: The hotel is at a high place, so the sight is very good and the view is first-class. The tree house is quite unique. There is a swimming pool at the door. One wall of the room is rock, and there are branches passing through the house. There are steps in the room, which need to be climbed up and down, which is suitable for young people. When the weather is good, you can sit outside the hotel lobby to watch the sunset.
Service: The housekeeper service is very good. He took the initiative to contact us a week in advance to remind us to buy boat tickets and sent us a transportation guide to the island and to the island. Neicuoao Pier is closer to the hotel. There is a tourist service center 100 meters left after getting off the boat. Large luggage can be placed at the tourist service center, and the hotel will send someone to carry the luggage. It is better to travel light, after all, the hotel is at a high place and you have to climb a little mountain. Because I accidentally spilled the tea on the cup, the housekeeper not only came to change the quilt in time, but also did not charge the cleaning fee. I was really embarrassed.

"The Hilton Curio Xiamen was absolutely fantastic! Our first day, blessed with sunshine, we experienced the Xitang photography session in the hotel's ground-floor lobby. The sight of Minnan girls adorned with *Zanhua* (flower hairpins) was breathtaking. The makeup artist offered a detailed explanation of the unique Xunpu women's headwear culture, and the traditional attire paired perfectly with the hotel's Minnan-style decor. We learned so much about local customs right there during the shoot.
The next two days brought heavy rain, but the hotel truly salvaged our experience. Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. The interiors, rich with Minnan cultural elements, made staying cozy and comfortable.
Despite the rain for most of our three-day, two-night stay, we still deeply experienced the charm of Minnan culture. Perfect!"
