Balmers Hostel

The hostel was a little far from Interlaken Ost Station, but the hostel issued a pass, so it didn't take long to get there by bus. They held events every day (movie nights, BBQs, etc.) Meals were self-catering, and there was a kitchen with everything you needed: a microwave, oven, stove, cutting board, knives, pots, and pans (though there were a few forks). You were required to bring your own ingredients to cook, but if you wanted to use them again the next day, you had to label them and store them in the large refrigerator. Also, anyone could use anything unlabeled, so some people had leftover pasta and tomato sauce, and I saw some people using that for breakfast. There was no changing room, but it was combined with the shower room and was a bit small, though the shower room itself was spacious enough. I definitely want to stay here again when I visit Interlaken, because I was able to interact with a variety of people. Since I was traveling alone, I had done a lot of things by myself before coming here, which was fun, but it was the best experience ever, talking to someone in the kitchen while making dinner, going hiking the next day, and sightseeing the day after that. I'm not very good at English, but I managed to communicate somehow and made some fun memories. I recommend this to everyone, so please take a look! I recommend supermarkets like Coop and Lidl Schweiz

The receptionist was friendly, and both the exterior and interior were lovely, making me want to come back again. It was also conveniently located near a supermarket.

Convenient facilities, large kitchen and public space, supermarkets coop and lidl nearby, buses to two train stations in Interlaken, the only downside is that the public space is above the room, it is noisy at night

It was my first time staying in a youth hostel, and it was a wonderful experience. People from all over the world lived here, and the atmosphere was really great. It will be an unforgettable travel experience for me!
