"Beautiful traditional guesthouse right by the river — perfect location for exploring the old town of Fenghuang. The rooms are clean and cozy, with lovely wooden decor and a nice balcony view over the water. The owners are super kind and helpful, even though their English is limited, they really make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere and excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you want an authentic stay in Fenghuang!"

"An exceptional experience! I highly recommend this accommodation for a wonderful stay in the ancient town. The hotel itself is picture worthy ,a beautiful wooden building with details that transport you to another era. Upon arrival at the reception, it feels like stepping into an old tea house, as the hosts welcome you with local tea and provide all the essential information for exploring the ancient city.The room was stunning ,everything was wooden, thoughtfully crafted, and impeccably clean. There was even a small counter where you could prepare your own tea. The view from the balcony was lovely as well.Breakfast included noodles, rice cake, vegetables, dumplings, eggs, and more. It was served in the shared courtyard, which was charming and picturesque, with a small fire lit in the center ,such a beautiful touch. Lastly, the owner and her assistant truly won me over by gifting me a lotus-shaped tea set with local tea inside. It’s also worth mentioning that when you book the room, they offer complimentary pick-up from the station. Honestly, this was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in China, thanks to the incredible hospitality and kindness of the ladies at the reception. Thank you!"

"I initially thought the online reviews might be exaggerated, but my experience far exceeded expectations. The room had a Chinese-style decor with solid wood furniture paired with natural rock, giving it a very luxurious feel. At night, the sound of the waterfall acted like natural white noise, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. What's more, the butler service was exceptionally attentive and quick to respond, fulfilling every request and making our stay incredibly comfortable."

"We had a lovely stay here, it was a great location to be with the two night shows a close walk in either direction. Lovely to be with a balcony along the water and near one of the small waterfalls, both during day and nights lovely experience. They kindly messaged and organised to pick us up from the train station free of charge. They helped us with our bags as in the old town, cars cannot go down the last bit of cobblestone and there are stairs to get to the room, but it was very manageable and as mentioned they also kindly helped us. They also organised a taxi back for us to the station. And when I forgot my earrings after checkout (I had not noticed) the cleaner found them so promptly within 30 minutes that they were kind enough to get them back to me before I had even left for the station, their diligence and helpfulness is greatly appreciated. Would absolutely recommend staying here."

"It was from far the best place I’ve stayed in my whole trip to China. It’s exactly inside the scenic area (so please note that you need to buy the ticket to enter in this area to be able to get in the hotel, and the area is full of stairs and only walking, so you’ll need to carry all your luggage). The room is big and comfortable, great shower, all the amenities, staff is amazing and helpful, even providing tips about which performances are better to see. The view is stunning: you see the waterfalls from your balcony. I loved the place, feel grateful for find it. "I’m a kiwi girl travelling through the Hunan province for the first time and I am so glad I chose this accommodation! I keep telling everyone to go here because it was incredible! The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They’ll pick you up from the train station, carry your bags through the cobblestone streets and upstairs to your room. They took me to the evening performances, brought me snacks and recommended restaurants. When the restaurant didn’t have cocktails, the staff went back to the hotel to make me a cocktail!!! The location was divine and the view overlooking the waterfall and town took my breath away. The amenities were incredible also, everything was up to date and could be voice activated. My only area of improvement was the hole in the skirting by the bathroom and a cockroach crawled out of there but I would 100% go back again!!"

"This hotel offers a super convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Furong Ancient Town. It's definitely a much better choice than staying inside the town, where guesthouses often cost upwards of 1000 RMB and can get quite noisy at night due to bars and the constant sound of the waterfall. Staying here, just outside, ensures a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station. It has nearly 200 rooms, and while the corridors aren't air-conditioned, the in-room AC works very well and keeps the rooms cool. A gym and laundry room are available. A convenient feature is facial recognition for room entry, so no key card is needed! They also have a tea room where you can brew your own tea. Breakfast is officially until 9:30 AM, but they usually don't clear it until around 10 AM. I'd recommend they just officially extend the breakfast hours to 10 AM. The only minor issue was the very weak water pressure in the shower."

"The hotel is right in the center and quite close to a scenic area where you have a great view of the waterfall. The staff were very supportive and helped us to get to the hotel from the train station and later helped us to get a taxi to go to the next city. The terrace of the rooms has a great view too but some of the rooms are separated from others."

"We stayed at the hotel for one night during the golden week! It was super busy but we enjoyed our stay a lot! The view is really nice on the bridge! Luckily it’s not in the middle of the town (because of the noise and busyness) I liked the location a lot because we could walk everywhere!! Great bathroom, super nice shower! Bed was comfortable ! Room was clean! No elevator but they helped us with our suitcases! Very kind host brought us to the train station the day of departure!"

"The location of the room was excellent, with convenient parking very close to the scenic area entrance. The room was clean and tidy. Although there's no elevator, someone helped us with our luggage. The landlady and hotel staff were very friendly and even called us a day in advance to help book tickets for the scenic area, which was a thoughtful and helpful service. Breakfast was decent, and I loved the small balcony in the room where we could overlook Furong Ancient Town from afar. Overall, it was a great experience."
