A previous reviewer was really down on the King's Club which is a newer adjunct to the older Kingsmill Hotel where the main dining room and bar are located. I'm not sure if we could both be reviewing the same place. First of all I found the staff very helpful and nor clueless as suggested. The rooms are quite nice and I really enjoyed the outdoor patio with the Inverness golf course only a few feet away. Watching and chatting with passing golfers and dog walkers was a bonus. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom which had a separate bathtub & shower. The breakfast buffet was quite nice if not over the top and the fruit was not old as suggested and the eggs were not disgusting. In fact they were presented exactly as at the Gleneagles resort which is definitely five star. It was an easy fifteen minute walk into the heart of Inverness. Overall I would certainly recommend the King's Club.

The staff absolutely make this place. We stayed for 3 nights in 2 Premier Plus rooms and 1 standard room. We were checked in by the wonderful Vicky, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but a little on the cold side, still good though, and I'm sure if I had asked, they'd have warmed it up for us. My only ”ick” was the skirting boards in the bathrooms weren't wiped and were, therefore, a bit dusty and hairy. The staff were helpful and friendly, and out of all the Premier inns I've stayed in this was absolutely the best.

Asked to sit in the restaurant for 45 minutes before checking in at 3pm which is fair enough because we were early but at least make sure it’s clean, food on the floor and cups sitting about. Overhead from guests checking in that the kitchen was closed but when we checked in the new receptionist had no idea if it was open or not. Didn’t stay anyway, as I said before it was a mess so didn’t fancy it. Only two PowerPoints in the room really not good enough for the business traveler. Talk about lack of staff from reception but I don’t want to hear about that at 150 Pounds a night.

Stay was great..breakfast was fantastic...room was great ...beds were comfy ..bathroom was very clean...staff were very friendly and helpful..used the swimming pool which wasn't too many people using it at one time....the only one comment will make is that part of carpet was stained with food.4/5rating for that one...everything else was very clean .which carpet should have been cleaned...
