MacDougall Clansman Hotel

I stayed at MacDougall Clansman in April while on vacation with a group of friends. We had 3 rooms in total and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, it was a 5 minute walk from the train station, even with my very American suitcase. Iain and I had messaged earlier in the day about my arrival time and my room was ready early when I got there around 1:30pm. Even though we all booked separately, Iain surmised our group was together and managed to put us in rooms near each other which was really nice. The rooms were all clean and neat with tea and coffee with a kettle as well. Breakfast each morning was prepared to order, good variety of standard European breakfast items available plus more traditional Scottish breakfast. We easily walked to restaurants and bars nearby, parking is available on the street or in a nearby parking garage. Highly recommend staying here when you are in Inverness!
The Waverley Guest House

The hotel benefits are 2 minutes walk from the train station. I have two large beds with a bathroom, and each bed sleeps big and small. No problem. There are also some cheap rooms that are common to the restroom. Breakfast is normal, the mainland breakfast is basically cold food, after eating and packing, it seems that only one person at the front desk waiter is on duty, and once I saw her returning from the outside to buy food. The hotel does not have a parking lot and parking is troublesome. In addition, there is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, which is very good. The picture is a street view outside the hotel, within walking distance to major attractions and shops.

This is an exceptional hotel with a staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay special. We arrived to be greeted at the door with help with our luggage by Vicky. She gave us some highlights and sent us out to explore. Upon returning, our bags were on our room, and Sava helped us settle in. The breakfast was the best in Scotland. Everything was fresh and the table beautifully set. The service and food were expertly done. Seva helped us get a taxi and is an expert in her field. This was the best experience of our whole trip.

Located five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.

The BEST hotel I have ever stayed in, the service was second to none special mention to Tracy on reception and the concierge, they made our experience one to remember! We felt like vips, I actually couldn’t fault the hotel, and will be highly recommending my clients to book here, and I personally cannot wait to go back! @elsdestinations
Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel
3.6/560 Reviews
The friendly staff save this from being a thoroughly unpleasant place to stay the night, but it's a challenge. After the Victorian hotel next door was gutted to house an expensively naff 'Nessie' visitor attraction, the accommodation remaining is a weather-beaten old 1970s annex with all the charm of a Cold War youth hostel. It's clean enough, to be fair, although the slight whiff of damp pooch endures. The boiler works too well, if anything, and the shower will provide water at Hot, Very Hot, Scalding and Aff Tae Infirmary Wi' Ye temperatures; should you want it cooler, the loch is nearby. If this doesn't entirely appeal, and Drumnadrochit's limited charms seem unlikely to detain you for a whole night, Inverness alternatives are not far away.
