The Glen Mhor Apartments

I absolutely loved this place. Our room was right above the check in which was super convenient. Huge room w/ amazing view. The staff were super friendly. The whiskey distillery was beautiful & the bartenders were very knowledgeable & funny. At breakfast find Elenor, the manager & a highland cow (her words), she has great travel trips & is an incredible person. Find her!!!

Pros: The hotel is at a great location. Food is Ok. Room size OK Cons: Staff is very rude, no hospitality, very bad experience. Bathroom door latch broken. No intercom in the room. No complimentary toiletries If you need extra tea bags or coffee sachets you will feel that you are asking for gold biscuits from them. Check in time 4 pm which is very late. At the time of check in they didnt inform that they take late check out charges after 11 am. No grace time for check out..which is very strange. Just minting money as much possible from the customers. There are other cheaper hotels in the same location, which one can opt. Overall will not recommend!

I had a very comfortable stay at the Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with a beautiful view overlooking The Ness River. And it's only a short distance to the train and bus stations. I will certainly recommend Glen Mhor Hotel & Apartments

I have been visiting Inverness for the past year and each month I have booked for an overnight stay at The GLEN MHOR which has been wonderful. Apart from its location along the riverside, the staff are professional, helpful and friendly, while the rooms of which I have now seen quite a few are all beautifully decorated and the beds ensure a comfortable nights sleep. The only hotel with a Brewery attached has afforded me the opportunity to sip one of their Largers in their cosy pub when visiting. To me there is nothing better than feeling the holiday spirit even when I am travelling for business. I highly recommend you book to stay here if you are looking for something of a special experience and you are so close to the rest of the town.

Used to stay here for business purposes years ago, recently brought the family whilst touring some local attractions. Cannot fault the staff or breakfast, we'll fed and catered to for the duration of our stay. Views from the room were beautiful and the central location and parking were absolutely ideal. Not the cheapest option but the best value for money. An easy recommendation and we will definitely be staying here again when visiting the area.

This was a very disappointing experience. Reception staff very “matter as fact”, no warmth or friendly greetings. Rooms are not in one building, we had to go out and walk a few meters and open a building that smells like a very old person’s closet, drag our heavy suitcases upstairs (no lift) and try squeeze into a very small room with a cupboard for a bathroom where no doors can open completely as it’s too small. Nothing is level, not the floor or the door or the bed. If you lie/sit on the side of the bed you roll into the middle. Walking on the uneven floor will give you vertigo even though you don’t usually suffer from it. Everything has wooden floors so you hear your neighbours very well, up and down. Even the television, which has been squeezed behind the door, gets bumped every time you try open the door or cupboard. Best thing is the view, but so not worth the money. Breakfast was included but oh my, what a disappointing spread. The young girls working in the morning are clearly not trained well and are more interested in chatting in the corner than attending to guests. For instance, when we both headed for the door, I would need to wait for one of them to pass. Not acceptable. Ordering something from the kitchen comes at an extra charge and just the coffee in a flask that comes past available, no decent flat whites or anything. We had supper at the same restaurant the night before, which was awesome, so not sure how the same place can get it so horribly wrong in a span of 12 hours, but they did. When I checked out I was not asked if everything was okay. I assume they know the answer is no and just don’t want to listen to the complaints any more. I’ll never return.

We rented one of the apartments and it was just what the family needed. It had three bedrooms, so everyone had their own room for a couple of days. It was nice having a kitchen so we could eat in for breakfast and bring food back if we wanted. The location was close to everything we wanted to see/do. One minor issue was the bathroom on the first floor had a slanted ceiling. I'm 5ft and still hit my head a couple of times. Also, there was not a lot of parking spaces. We were able to find spots every night, but was tight. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, only a few minutes walk into bars and restaurants if wanted, but not too close that your sleep is interrupted by the noise, and own car park hugely convenient. Great position on the river. Bar is lovely with great selection - nice place to die d an evening, and Waterfront restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced (especially pre-theatre menu). Was in a Classic double in Alexander section and it was ideal. Bed was comfortable, room was immaculately clean and well presented and great, large shower and bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel nicely decorated throughout and comfortable, without being too stuffy. Definitely will stay here whenever in Inverness and would definitely recommend.

Tried to organise a surprise bottle of champagne for my parents who were staying for a couple nights. Surprise was given away by waiting staff while they had their dinner “your daughter has sent a bottle of Prosecco to the room for after dinner” yes you read right not champagne like I paid for. So I call reception to check that maybe the waiting staff had gotten it wrong, confirmed “yes it’s definitely champagne”. Guess what comes next… dad messages a picture, you guessed it of prosecco. Had to phone again 4th time today, to have it then changed because as you can imagine there’s a slight difference in price. Probably wouldn’t have bothered with writing this if I had got as much as an apology. 🙄
