I had my accomodation here time for two months,so I know this hotel and it's stuff really good. I'm gonna make you a short tour, just to be sure that you made the right choice for your accomodation. The hotel is near the Ioannina lake, and in the night time you can see it from distance because of it's blue colour lights. From the outside it looks really nice and fancy, but it is really so? Yes it is...it's not a 5 star hotel ,but it offers high quality standards and you will receive the best for the money you pay...Oh, about the money...you pay less if you stay more,so they are opened to negotiate with you for a longer staying. Once you enter into the hotel, you will always meet a smiley face..so say hello, klimera, kalispera to Anastasia,Konstantina and Giannis. All of them are professional receptionists and have solid English knowledge. They are the heart of the hotel and their hands will make you the best Fredo in town. They are so professional that the owner,George ( very good guy ), told me (shouldn't have to say this:)) that he will definitely increase the employees's salaries starting next month(and when he says something you better be sure he will do it))). Once you go up to the stairs you will meet Sofia, the janitor (even if you are slim fit,you will look like Big Mama (old, fat and ugly) when you stay next to her. She is the reason why your room is clean and well arranged, your clothes are clean,so BIG LIKE for her. Thank you all for your attitude and for your kindness. Finally ,choose clever and book Akti Hotel. Have a nice staying!

On our trip last winter to Epirus and to Macedonia in northern Greece, we stayed in a suite at the Haones. The room was spacious, comfortable, very pleasantly decorated; It had a living room with fireplace, a small kitchen ..... the accommodation was magnificent but nothing to do with the treatment provided. Antigone took care of us as if we were from her own family and thanks to her the hotel worked perfectly. As if this were not enough, every morning, Aphrodite (the pastry maker) gave us the best sweets I've ever tasted after my aunt and sister did when I was little. They were as rich as only the homemade sweets can be, with the best products and all the care to cook for your family. I take this opportunity to thank them for how much they facilitated our stay in Ioannina and all the help provided.

Small, nice and clean hotel not far from the city centre. I checked-in in the afternoon with a very friendly lady at the reception. The room (attic) is spacious and clean. Only a small issue occurred, but immediately the lady at the reception called and was very apologetic. In the evening, I had also the pleasure to meet Konstantina who is the Front Office Manager and who is a brilliant young lady! Thank you Konstantina for being so helpful!

Excellent view, as it's located nearby the lake of Ioannina city. Near in all attractions (you can go by feet). Some rooms have wooden walls and roof. Excellent breakfast, clean rooms and the personnel was friendly. Definitely one of the best hotels in the city.

We stayed for 5 nights in this amazing hotel. It makes a great base for exploring Ioannina: easy walking distance to the Castle, ferries to Nissi, taxi stand, pedestrian shopping streets, many restaurants, and the Archaeological Museum (worth a visit). There’s even a terrific bakery a few meters away. Our room was well furnished with large comfortable bed, reading lights, two armchairs, refrigerator, safe, coffee fixings and complimentary bottled water replenished daily. The bathroom was modern and comfortable (although the shower operation was a bit of a challenge for us). The breakfast was phenomenal – dozens of choices including two types of omelets, sausages, various homemade sweet and savory pastries, cereals, fruits, yoghurt, etc. It can be enjoyed inside or out on the patio. The owner speaks fluent English, having lived in the US for 20 years. She is extremely helpful and delightful to talk to. She very generously offered us breakfast when we arrived early, before check-in time. The rest of the staff is very friendly too. One other amenity I have not seen mentioned in recent reviews is laundry service. You are charged by the bag, the price is extremely reasonable, and ours was completed the same day. A great service for those of us midway through a long trip! We hired a taxi driver to take us into the nearby Pindus mountains to spend the day visiting Vikos Gorge, the Zagori villages and unique stone bridges. Truly a breath-taking experience and well-worth the 150 euros we spent. It was far easier than negotiating the hairpin turns, rocks in the road, and super-narrow streets in a rental car!

We had a surprise over night stay in Ioannina, we had to leave Corfu suddenly because the ferry boats were going on strike. So we drove until it was late and found this gem to park ourselves for the night. The owner came out himself to help us find the parking area and help guide my husband into the parking lot. Such lovely caring people The hotel has been meticulously redone with all the modern conveniences but somehow as retained its classical charm. We arrived late and it was a rainy night, so the bartender helped us order a pizza from a local pizza place that delivered. We were served drinks in the bar area while we ate our pizza and then went to bed. Our room was very comfortable and beautiful. The next morning we woke up to breakfast in the common area, the platters, yes not plate, the platters were piled high with all sorts of morning deliciousness. Honestly hubby and I could have shared one, and still left food behind. This hotel is also well located in the center with many shops and restaurants all around.
