Atrium Hotel Orange County

We had a wonderful stay at the Atrium Hotel Los Angeles! The atmosphere is pleasant, the rooms are clean and cozy, the location is convenient, and the staff is very friendly. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the attentive service and the quiet, cozy vibe.

Overall, this hotel is a pretty standard American airport hotel, just a bit better than an average motel. The biggest advantage is its very convenient location right across from the airport. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the terminal, so no taxi is needed. One thing to note: it's much easier if you exit toward Parking Garage 2. There's also a gas station with a convenience store right next to the hotel, making it easy to grab drinks, snacks, and daily essentials. The drawbacks are also quite obvious: First, parking is quite expensive at over twenty dollars a day, which adds up for road-trippers. Second, the facilities are quite dated. There is a noticeable musty smell in both the hallways and the room carpets, giving the overall impression that the property has seen better days. Atrium Hotel Orange County features an open-air, wrap-around layout. If your room is located in the back section, especially on the second floor, you'll have a long walk dragging your luggage past the pool area to reach your room, which is quite inconvenient. The pool looks nice in pictures, but the actual experience is just mediocre. The water doesn't look particularly clean, and the pool is quite deep with an odd shape, making it less than ideal for actual swimming or relaxing. Housekeeping management is also rather disorganized. The room was cleaned normally on the first day, but on the second day, we were told we had to proactively request housekeeping before 12:00 PM. Even after making the request, no one ever came to clean the room—whether it was a communication breakdown or a management issue remains a mystery. Additionally, on the morning of checkout, staff started knocking on doors around 7:00 or 8:00 AM asking if we needed cleaning, which felt poorly managed and disrupted our rest. On the bright side, there is a 24-hour automated pizza vending machine right at the hotel entrance where pizzas are freshly made by a robot. It's a fun, unique feature, though we didn't end up trying it this time. All in all, if you just need a place to crash for a night to catch a flight or make a connection, the walkable airport location makes it quite convenient. However, if you have higher expectations for accommodation quality and service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The room won't be cleaned unless you specifically request it.

The environment is great, with a swimming pool and gym, a gas station and convenience store nearby, and it's also close to the airport.
