Hotel and food was worthy about the price but there was no wifi in the rooms and for Air conditioner they are charging extra amount and as mentioned there are no free shuttle service. Apart from these it's ok to stay there

In a quiet location but far from the center. Excellent structure with an outdoor swimming pool with warm water

I have this hotel a 1 as it would not let me put a 0 We booked through love holidays and we arrived tired and hungry be aware it is a 1.5 hour boat crossing. On arrival we were demanded £200 as the rooms were made for 4 but the 4th person needed paying for we could not understand so he said just leave and find another hotel of course he knew we could not. So we had to pay. We went into the restaurant and my god sloppy veg was every day on offer and absolutely disgusting food to add. The owner was abusive and he was to love holidays as well. There were no drinks for evening meals so you had to buy water. The dog was shagging our daughter arm and they found it funny. So drinks were about £60 euros a night be aware you think they are £30 Ice cram was extra cost £10 for 4 You have a tax to pay £2 for each person per night. If you stay for 10 days your ferry will not get you back for the flight on time You cannot get hold of the transfer people at all. On top of our holiday we have paid over £560 euros extra on the island Avoid at all costs We are going to sue when we get back it was that bad do not entertain and honestly I don’t normally but I spent 9 days worrying about getting off this island it was like Alcatraz Your choice

This has truly been the most relaxed and beautiful holiday we have ever had, thanks to Filippo and his amazing family. The hotel is absolutely stunning with beautiful views from every point. Run by a very friendly family, it gives the feeling of a hotel with the warmest welcome of a friend. Filippo was such an amazing host who works so hard to ensure that the hotel is run efficiently and that everyone has a lovely holiday. We stayed for 10 nights/ 11 days and in all that time. Every member of staff was so helpful and friendly. Filippo worked constantly from early morning till late at night every day - I'm amazed by his energy and commitment and he does an outstanding job. Jacqueline, their dog, was such a cute and friendly dog who added to the fun of the trip. The hotel is really well located - a regular Line 6 bus goes directly from the Port to the hotel (a 3 min walk from hotel to the bus stop). The odd bus didn't arrive but that's no different to what we're used to at home or in any other European country. We got weekly bus tickets (there were 7 of us - 2 parents, 5 teenagers) and this was great as we were able to hop on and off buses easily. The pool was the nicest one we've ever been in. No chlorine and it was a thermal heated pool so it was lovely and warm all the time. Lots of sun beds, seats, tables and umbrellas were available so no rush to find beds like at other hotels we'd been at before. The food at the hotel was really good. Authentic home cooked Italian food - all prepared in the hotel and grown in their garden. A choice of two options for starters, a choice of two options for main course (also a buffet of several different vegetable options) and fruit / tiramisu for dessert. Breakfast was freshly baked croissants, bread, rice crispies and coffee/tea/juice.Myself and one of the teenagers are gluten free and each day there were options provided for us for each dinner course and we were also able to put our gluten free food (including yogurt, fruit etc) into a cold storage room so we could eat our own gluten free food for breakfast. Ischia is just stunning. It can be a busy holiday or a complete break away from everything. We had a bit of both. The ferry over and hydrofoil back to Napoli was great. We also went to the Castle which was stunning (food in the cafe was fantastic and reasonable) and swam in the sea below. We went to the thermal springs at Sorgeto which was amazing (a long and steep walk down and back up so not for those with accessibility issues), Maronti beach (Line 10 bus), zip line/Ischia Forest Adventure Park (5 mins walk from the hotel), Ischia Ponte, Ischia Porto and beach, there's good shopping area off the streets at the Porto , Nik's Bar - a great and friendly bar near the hotel that we would often go to at night (do try the Ruccolino and Piperna local drinks). There's lots more to do but we combined chilling at the pool with some trips and it was just perfect. We'd all love to go

The hotel was not as it seemed when we arrived. Incredibly basic inside, the bunk bed guard wasn’t safe and kept falling off. We complained to Fillippo and nothing was done about it. The food was ok but the variety wasn’t enough. Our youngest struggled to have various things so we ended up buying food from the supermarket. We were disappointed with our room and spoke to the owner but there was no where else to go. The pool was great and we spent alot of our time outside. We were half board, so used the supermarket a lot! Love Holidays were informed of our issues and gave us some money back but we won’t be going back to the hotel. The buses however around the island were great. Having to pay for ferries and transfers was never mentioned by Love Holidays. The whole holiday wasn’t what we wanted. We wouldn’t go back to the hotel.

The Hotel We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Fillipo and a small dog called Jacqueline. Fillipo is the owner and appears to have members of his family helping to run the place, although we never saw much of them. He also seemed to be the only person who spoke English (and also German and Spanish!) so it might be worth brushing up on a few Italian phrases should you bump into another family member. Fillipo was very friendly and showed us a few places on the map that we might want to visit. It's worth pointing out that he helps with cleaning rooms and other chores, so the reception area isn't permanently staffed. The hotel itself is in the middle of the island, about 2km from the port. As others have said, unless you hire a car (scary narrow roads!) or take a taxi (expensive!), the best way to and from the hotel is the no. 6 bus. The nearest stop is 200m from the hotel outside Nik's bar, or 400m down the road at the terminus - which has the most amazing view out over the island to the sea. The bus was nearly always on time except for the 09:10 service which, although listed on the timetable, never showed up once. The hotel has WiFi and we got a decent signal both inside and outside - however, another couple said they couldn't get a signal in their room. Outside the hotel is a lovely pool which apparently is gently heated by volcanic activity. We found that the temperature varied depending on where you were and it certainly didn't feel warm! The pool area is very relaxing and has sun coverage pretty much all day. As for the surrounding area, there are a couple of points to note: first, the hotel is very close to a school, so if you go in term-time expect to hear the kids/teachers shouting and the pick-up at 2pm. Second, there is a really good supermarket up the road that stocks everything and anything you could want. The trick is finding it. (tip - it's underneath where you think it is. Look for some stairs going down.) The Room. No fancy key cards here - you get an old-fashioned metal key. We stayed in 104. Room was basic but clean, and our beds were turned down every morning by the time we got back from breakfast. We had a set of doors that opened onto a shared terrace - you'll get a view of a hill or the sea depending on which side you're on. We got the hill, which was surprisingly pretty. The bed was a decent size although firm. As we went in early May, the nights were quite cool so we found some extra blankets came in handy. There was a central heating radiator in the room but it wasn't turned on - I suspect it's only ever used in the depths of winter. The hallways outside are all tiled, and the walls aren't thick, so you can hear doors closing and people talking quite easily. While this might present an issue for the unprepared, the seasoned traveller will have a set of earplugs and thus sleep soundly. Bathroom was OK. The shower never really got hot but the pressure was enough to blow the shower head out of its holder a few times! T

We arrived at the "hotel" to a very basic place which looked like a building site/lodging house. The receptionist copied our passports and quite bluntly said you're on the first floor that way. We then had to struggle up the stairs with our cases to find our room. Room being the operative name. It was basically a cupboard with a bed in it. There was ONE socket in the whole room. A wardrobe containing ONE HANGAR, a bed coveted in a fraying coverlet and a marked sheet, two flat pillows, a door led to a bathroom with a very disgusting, marked shower curtain, hanging from exceptionally dirty rings. The "view" was booked as pool or garden view, we had neither. We faced scaffolding, building site and dirty laundry on the floor, two flights below. The aircon didnt have a remote in the room. The electricity consumer box didn't have a cover but DID contain a keyhole! We went back to reception to ask to change room, to be told they were full and it wasn't possible. We requested more pillows, hangars and how to turn on the aircon in the room. We were told we had to pay for the aircon £12 per day. Pillows were delivered to the room along with 10 exceptionally dirty, rusty hangars We were informed "dinner was 7-8pm and breakfast was 8-9am, set in stone with allocated tables and a preordained "menu" of 2 dishes. We had to buy water to have with dinner and we're shocked that HALF BOARD DIDNT GET US A CHOICE OF WHAT TO EAT! we slept in the disgusting room that evening, THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED, as i'd booked this trip through LOVEHOLIDAYS for my husbands 65th birthday gift. I cried that night, absolutely shocked by what we had compared to what I thought I'd booked. The next morning my husband went down to breakfast- again no choice and offerrings were left overs from dinner, green beans, cake, manky fruit, cheap cereal! I had a coffee and returned to the room. We looked on *********** for another hotel and moved that day to an available hotel. We have complained about the 20 year old pictures advertising this OAP BOARDING HOUSE where older people LIVE in the rooms facing the pool and gardens. There is also a dog roaming trying to get into the room along with visitors in the night trying all doors. Filip used us moving as an excuse to not refund us for our further 6 night stay, stating we only wanted a sunset view!! We've never been to Ischia before so we looked at available, clean hotels available at short notice. Please, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOVEL FOR YOUR HOLIDAY, THE OWNERS HAVE QUITE FRANKLY GIVEN UP AND NEED TO TAKE THE "HOTEL" PART FROM THEIR SIGNAGE AND CHANGE IT TO BUDGET HOSTEL WITH A POOL! would of given ZERO but not able to. We have an ABTA CERT and WILL be taking this forward with them

I'm just back from staying here. This is described as a hotel..glorified hostel maybe more like it. I had booked through Love Holidays & how they recommend this "hotel" is beyond me. The noise was absolutely horrendous & after the first 2 nights, I considered leaving & going home or changing hotels. The room was extremely disappointing -very basic. There was no AC & I was bitten alive. I was in a room between two others that had groups of young people making a racket at all hours of the night. If I had been any larger, I would not have fitted in the shower. Then on Thursday, there was no water. I had breakfast on one day & dinner on two evenings & food was okay, but I think I was overcharged when checking out. The description/photos of the hotel are very misleading as it was absolutely nothing like it showed. Would not recommend.
