Rocamar Hotel Isla Mujeres

We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay. The check in process was quick within 5-10 mins and we were given the quiet room type as requested when we booked which is great. Room is big and clean with amazing ocean view and come with your own private balcony and hammock. Shower water pressure and temperature were on point too. We were worried about the Wi-Fi due to the numerous complaints seen online but surprisingly it was great throughout our stay at the highest floor! Fresh drinking water located the lobby with hot drinks making facility and they also provide microwave which is a bonus. Location is very strategic as well, just get off the ferry pier then walk straight up the road and within 2 mins you will find Rocamar. Supermarket (Super Aki) is nearby too, within 1-2 mins walk only. So as the restaurants, laundry services and souvenir shops which were less than 5 mins walk. We would highly recommend this hotel. Con: They can improve on washing the towels, though cleaned but still stained.

The hotel is in good location close to Ferry and shopping. I had a little issue with my room was downstairs, I had to go down a long staircase, I thought it would be 1st floor level since I’m handicapped. The other issue was if you leave the door open for a couple of minutes room gets very muggy and floor become extremely wet, this caused me to fall. Aside from those issue it was a pleasant one night stay.

The view off of the balcony was positively fantastic! You can hear the waves all night and day! The pool and outdoor areas are very nice and relaxing. There is A/C; however, the bathroom is a wet room, with the shower and vent keeping the bathroom a little damp. The shower view can't be beat, as the glass wall of the shower allows a view through the room directly to the Carribean. It's a true Mexico immersion vacation spot!

Honestly, this place was the best part of my vacation outside of just being alone, traveling with my partner. The staff was extremely friendly and interested whether I struck up conversation in English or Spanish, plenty of good recommendations on their part if you happened to travel without a plan whether it comes to food, shopping, transportation, or adventuring. I’ll add, there’s a cat that lives near and walks around the building that is absolutely precious and deserves the world. Her name is Micha, leave a can of tuna for us. Thank you ＜3

The room was stinky when we checked in the bathroom room door was not completely closing. We bought our own room perfume and used it all 4 days. The location and Beachfront are the top points.

Nice view and good location. Comfortable bed, but room smelled like smoke and a little shabby.

Room is very basic, location is great, 3 min walk from ferry and very close to all the shops & restaurant. View of the ocean is phenomenal. I'm not a fan of the bathroom, it smells of sewage at times, and gets very humid after a shower, no shower curtain which splashes water everywhere. But for the price it is reasonable.

They really mean ocean front when they say it. Only a walking path seperates the hotel from the sea. Everything on the north part of the island is a 5-10 minute walk, including the beaches. They keep the property spotless, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
