Unacceptable Treatment - Our Booking Was Cancelled at 2 AM Without Warning
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the unacceptable treatment we received during our attempted check-in.
My friend and I had a confirmed reservation for October 26-28. Due to our flight schedule, we arrived at the hotel in the early hours of October 27th, around 2:00 AM. We were exhausted after a long and difficult journey and were looking forward to finally resting.
To our utter shock, we were denied entry and informed that our booking had been cancelled. The reason given was that we had a pay at check-in reservation and failed to arrive on the date of the 26th. The critical issue is that we were never informed of this policy, and no one from the hotel notified us that our booking was being cancelled. We had no warning whatsoever. Moreover, I’ve asked the hotel whether it’s ok with our reservations and they answered yes! It was confirmed, I’ll attach it below
The situation was handled poorly and with a lack of empathy. While the young man at the front desk was compassionate, the other staff member who came to deal with the situation was rude and outright told us to leave the premises. To be left stranded in the middle of the night is not just poor service, it is irresponsible and inhumane.later he asked a close votel to reserve us there for a night. Thanks for only this moment.
We believe this is an utterly unacceptable way to treat guests, and we expect to be compensated for this deeply distressing experience.
