It was an absolute joy to stay in this hotel. Hotel staf was very friendly and always ready to assist, answer questions or just to have a little talk. Breakfast was the best I had in a hotel. There was a large variety of foods and drinks. I have a gluten allergy, they even had special bread!! The bed was comfortable, the standard room was spacious and the bathroom had amenities and a nice shower (the water pressure was good!) We had a wonderful stay in this hotel and we’ll definitely return.

It is very well located, the hotel staff is very friendly and they help you with everything you need, the rooms are a bit small and especially the bathrooms, the train passes 10 meters from the hotel (the good thing is that they cut off at 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.) in general positive especially for the location and the hotel staff.

Hotel in the old part of Istanbul. Very small and cozy. Walking distance to many attractions, tram stops, metro and ferry. Very good breakfasts. A special heart for this.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Almina. The overall experience was very pleasant, with clean rooms, a comfortable atmosphere, and great attention to detail throughout the hotel. I would especially like to highlight the receptionist, Vedat, who was extremely kind, friendly, and communicative. He made us feel welcome from the very beginning and was always ready to help with any questions or requests. His professionalism and positive attitude truly made a difference in our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Almina to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Me and my partner stayed at Almina hotel - August 2025. I have only great things to say regarding the hotel. Upon arrival due to an issue with our room, we had Adnan from the reception greet us, and explain the arrangements he had set in advance. He paid for our transport and booked us nearby at another hotel without any problem. Coming back the next day to check in properly, we were greeted by Vedat, who due to this "bad start" has upgraded our room to a higher floor. Till this point I can say problem management and client care have been excellent. The hotel itself is like the pictures, and even though small, it smells nice, and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was definetelly worth it, with a wide variety to choose, from cereal, to fruits, to pastries, local appetizers, and even natural honey straight from the honeycomb! Everything was delicious, no other was to phrase it. Location wise it is about minutes walk from the central square where TopKapi palace, Aya Sophia, and the Blue Mosque are located. We were given instructions by both Adnan and Vedat on what to visit and also recommendations about the asian side of Istanbul. We also booked a tour which was nice after discussing our options with the reception staff. To summarise, the hotel was as in the pictures, clean and smelling wonderful. The stay was great, food was amazing, and the staff were super helpful, guiding and nice. Thanks Vedat and Adnan for making our stay in Istanbul a great one!

We had a great trip to Istanbul August 2025 and the hotel experience at Almina really added to and helped with this. In really good location close to Blue mosque (5mins walking) with a great view from the terrace. The terrace also had excellent views of the sea. The room was really nice, clean and modern. With this in mind the only downside was the hotel is close to a rail line. This caused a lot of noise when the train passes. The breakfast is really nice and fresh each morning and the staff are so helpful. Even doing a surprise birthday shoutout for my wife. The website pictures do not do justice to the actual experience. A special mention for Vedat and Adnan at the front desk of the hotel. They really helped with every aspect of our stay and went above and beyond to help us with travel and transfers.

We had a short city break at this lovely hotel. Great value. Clean and very friendly staff. We were early arrivals. However Sefa sent us off for breakfast and our room was ready once we had finished. Breakfast was an incredible selection. Thank you Sefa - a true gentleman. We will be back.

This review is basically just a Vedat appreciation post. From the very first night, he was so incredibly respectful, accommodating, and professional. I would give the hotel 4 stars, but Vedat is the reason I've given 5 (he deserves 5 stars alone, too). He's just so helpful and friendly, has a great sense of humour, and possesses some of the greatest manners that were ever beheld by a man. As a woman, I was so taken aback by his respect; he reminded me chivalry is most definitely not dead. Vedat is nothing short of a gentleman by the highest regard. He's absolutely gorgeous already, but his character makes him even more so, somehow. All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, heightening the enjoyable experience, but I'm sorry - Vedat really stole the show with a reserved reverence. I hope that he is appreciated and celebrated by senior management (he has many fans in the guest book, to nobody's surprise!) and that the hotel recognises he is one of their single greatest assets. You can't lose him, or you will lose the heart of the hotel. Vedat is the heart of the hotel. I just have to get over my little crush now. If you're reading this, Vedat, and I hope you do, I hope and pray only wonderful things come your way, you beaut of a man. Thank you for all your help, advice, and kindness. I wish more men were like you.
